  1. Rioli got two week 🫠
  2. No matter what happens tomorrow I am very proud of the way we’ve handled this as a club, not just for baby Roo but for the whole competition. As always we do all the bloody hard work so everyone else can benefit…. Made the game, now we are saving it from itself.
  3. A nobody player who plays for a nothing club. Call me when someone I care about doesn’t back in JVR. By the way, his own club clearly disagrees with his opinion since they gave evidence to say Ballard was not hurt and cleared to play this week. They didn’t need to do that if they thought the action was malicious. Could have said he was hurt and then made a miraculous recovery. Aka what Adelaide did with Dangerfield in the Trengove case.
  4. It’s not ideal but it’s also a good builder of resilience. Sometimes your preparation is compromised and you need to adapt. JVR strikes me as a very strong minded kid. He will be ok.
  5. Good work Dees. Fingers crossed the people on the appeals board are less drunk than those at the tribunal last night.
  6. Are you representing us? 🤔😂
  7. Or the fact that Lynch got off a few weeks ago for a much cruder spoil, or the fact that Fogarty wasn’t even cited in a spoil that resulted in a facial injury to his opponent. Let’s just conveniently shaft a player that has played 6 games playing for a club that traditionally doesn’t pull the big angry mob crowds. Nobody will notice. Nobody will care. AFL read the room wrong. I hope we fight this and I hope we get a decent bloody lawyer not another AFL fanboy.
  8. Because he’s an ex footballer, and a coach, not some washed up lawyer who doesn’t understand football. Anyone who has ever played the game at this level is genuinely bewildered by this result. The only people who got on their high horse and tried hanging JVR are weasel commentators who would [censored] their pants if they had to play AFL. I am all for stamping out dangerous and unnecessary actions in our game. No player should suffer concussion as a result of an off the ball hit. That’s not fair play. But every player is well aware of the risks involved with playing the game at any level, let alone at the highest level. And no player would ever think twice about reasonably assessing in the 0.6 seconds they realize they need to spoil a high ball, that they might get hurt or their opponent might get hurt in doing so.
  9. I want us to appeal for the sheer fact that no big club would stand for this rubbish. I am sick of no name players from smaller clubs being used as a pawn in the AFL's latest games. If we don't stand up against this and fight it, we are saying to the AFL that they can keep using our players to make an example, when the reality is, not a single AFL player is watching this suspension and thinking next time they won't go for the spoil.
  10. Every other commentator who hung JVR prior to the suspension was allowed to have an opinion. So can Jones post tribunal I guess. And for those saying it’s a good chance to rest Roo, this is completely besides the point. What if this weekend was a final and the player in question was Oliver? If we don’t fight this charge we are setting a precedent we don’t want to deal with later down the track when it really matters.
  11. To be fair the Kosi bump, although no injury was sustained, is so so so much worse than JVR’s spoil, that it’s actually laughable that those two ended up with the same penalty. It’s absolutely incomparable actions. One was totally unnecessary and off the ball. One was in play and IN THE RULES. One had the intention to hurt and one had the intention to contest the ball. If we don’t appeal this I’ll be very upset and if we don’t win the appeal I’ll know for sure that the AFL is corrupt. Can you imagine Jeremy Cameron, Scott Pendlebury, or Lachie Neale getting suspended for this same action in September? No you couldn’t, because it would NEVER happen. The AFL makes up rubbish rulings every week to suit whatever dumb agenda they want to push at the time, and young no name players from small clubs suffer as a result.
  12. There was nothing in it, so I’m glad. Also now Carlton’s lawyer is free on Thursday and we should hit him up. Knows his stuff that guy.
  13. Out: Anderson In: Scoop Junior
  14. Apologize peasant
  15. That wasn’t me sir. I want a full retraction.
  16. My dog is utterly outraged. He’s gone to sleep with his Melbourne blanket and emotional support chew toy hoping for better news tomorrow.
  17. I reckon we will appeal based off the last line from the article on the website Of course I don’t know what loopholes got closed thanks to Cripps. We may not have a legal avenue to appeal, but surely we can just appeal the stupidity of the reasoning of the tribunal
  18. I want a tribunal member to tell 2 time AA defender Steven May that he is not a reasonable player the next time he accidentally hits an opponent in the head during a spoil.
  19. If his name is Tom Hawkins he isn’t even charged. Let alone gets 2 weeks. The corruption and utter stupidity of this competition is beyond a joke. If Melbourne folded tomorrow I would never watch another game again.
  20. I hope we go to the appeals board. What [censored] clowns sit on that board? More lawyers who have never played football in their life?
  21. Get absolutely [censored]
  22. “We need more lawyers and umpires in the AFL”
  23. Kids whenever they have to wait for anything for longer than 1.3 seconds….right?! Edit: my dog just reminded me it’s his dinner time. The dog doesn’t wait. He’s the king of the house and my favourite child.
  24. The laws don’t apply to Geelong players. Take your nonsense elsewhere.
  25. What about the optics of punishing players for making legitimate attempts to contest the ball in a contact sport? Him not getting off would have bigger consequences than if the charges are dropped.
