Hope Jetta told him to come back to him when he's an AA player not a hack with a hipster beard who can't kick. Nicolls did an excellent job trying to ruin the game and making me lose my voice. Hibberd, Jetta, Viney all immense. Tyson good, Oliver good, Hannan good, Oscar is ridiculously improved and can't believe I'm saying it, Melksham is coming good. It was a very good win. We played on our terms for a half and opened an unbeatable lead. They amped up the pressure, as good teams do, but we didn't relent. We went hard all day and held off for an excellent win. Hogan seems to be getting better and better and Gawn was excellent before he got injured. He was back in form.

Was pretty good considering he hasn't played AFL for so long. Will need a few more games, which I hope he gets, to really get into the pace and swing of things. Loved the big hug Goody gave him after the game.

Dear Nichols, please kindly go [censored] yourself! You are a pathetic troll.

Port can really play and change momentum quickly. This will become an even contest very quickly if we don't keep up the intensity. Dominating the clearances is helping. Welcome back Tyson Viney and Gawny (to form)

These umps I swear to god, even when we have a clear home ground advantage we still can't get a break.

Jack Viney on one foot goes ok I guess

I will never stop fantasizing about a forward line of Hogan and Jurrah together. Oh the feels... all of the feels! A Jurrah in his first 30 games right now could be the difference between scraping into the 8, and finishing top 4. Sigh! Anyways what a great initiative by the club and also as if you needed another reason to love Jetta. (Side note: Matty Whelan looks like he's had a good winter... still one of my all time favorites though!)

Crossing everything for him. He deserves some luck and we deserve to see him play AFL. He has the potential to be the next Jonesy!

Me and Nathan Jones are enjoying the view thanks

Vince doesn't help himself. He has a terrible record! He needs to just stop behaving like a tool on the field.

Haven't seen any footy this weekend and haven't seen the Bernie incidents, but all I can say is pathetic from Vince. You are a leader and we are struggling with injuries. What the hell are you thinking? Dumb, selfish, not good enough.

Why are people going on about Darwin? This is our first interstate loss of the year. We've lost more games at the G than away. Adelaide are not on top of the ladder for nothing.

Thanks. My dad said the Hunt goal was the only highlight too. I got excited as I watched us peg back the margin. A shame that we ended up losing by a big margin in the end. How bad is Kents injury?

My whole plan of watching this has match has gone balls up. Anyone know a free way to watch replays from overseas?

Christian Petracca - Under The Radar

Yeah especially if he's passing the ball off to Kent who forgot his kicking boots at Casey! -

Trac with a tank is going to be something to marvel at. At the moment he really blows up quickly. I sit near the bench and he is often stuffed when he comes off. But gees he is a powerful player. One day soon he will have a game that makes everyone stand up and notice just what a gun he is. -
Tom McDonald - are his days as a defender over?

Hopefully by then our midfield will be so good, we won't even need defenders. Just Neville Jetta defending 6 forwards by himself... because he is just that good! -
Being Relevant Again - What Success Looks Like
Jaded No More replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the single biggest factor in our resurgence is Peter Jackson. We owe that man our next flag! -
If we beat them again this week, I'll get drunk on the company credit card as I watch the replay on the other side of the world. Bring it on!

I think if we've learnt anything this season, is that every game is equally winnable as it is lose-able. We beat Adelaide and West Coast at home but lost to North and Hawthorn. I'm glad we have some tough assignments coming up. No point beating bottom feeders and going into the finals only to find out we can't compete with the top teams. It'll be a great test to see if we are indeed good enough to beat the best teams leading into the finals, as chances are we will meet again in September. There will be no shame in losing the Adelaide, Port and GWS games if it's a good battle, and as long as we beat North (for the love of god please!!!), St Kilda, Brisbane and Collingwood, as we should still comfortably make finals, and that would be a wonderful achievement. I think weirdly that GWS is going to be our most winnable of the above 4 matches, especially given we should have almost a full team by then (assuming no other horrible new injuries)

He's also developing a reputation of being a gun footballer so....

I didn't think it was obvious at all what they were doing. ANB looked set to take the kick, so much so that nobody bothered manning up Lewis. I didn't see it coming and neither did most people at the ground. For all the umps knew, Lewis was telling ANB to settle and take the kick. It's not until you see it close up on TV and you can see him peering around that you think he might pass it off.

The Curnow v Weideman Debate Reprised
Jaded No More replied to deelete my account's topic in Melbourne Demons
At the end of the day we still won the draft because we got Oliver -
I didn't hear anyone booing, but if that's true, that is p*ss poor. Booing a player who just came back from the death of his dad and his own cancer battle, is pretty pathetic.

Unfortunately I emailed them and they said it's not being shown. Guess I'll just follow the scores online and watch the replay when I get back to the hotel at night, assuming it's worth watching.
