Out: Melksham In: Brown We didn’t get a 60 goal a season forward to win games for Casey. It’s time.

Really ruined the moment ?

I think Melksham doesn’t do enough to keep a 60 goal a year forward out of our side. We didn’t get Ben Brown to play for Casey. We need to make him work and next week is the perfect time. All that aside, that was an enormous win. A season defining win. To be challenged early and not only grind it out but dominate, was incredible. Our best players all played well on the big stage. But for me Jackson was a revelation. A 19 year old giant, wet ball, big stage, and he just did not miss a beat. Amazing game. A great night at the footy and a great night for Jonesy.

Richmond is still good enough to turn this around. Every entry inside their forward 50 is a goal out of their [censored]. We have to not drop even 1% of our intensity.
-
I see it but I don’t believe. Richmond are still good enough to win this. Also umpire #22 is a dead set [censored]
-
Jackson is 19. Ffs how?! Umpires and Richmond can go and get [censored].
-
We were very nervous but seems to have settled. Gotta start getting on top in Centre clearances if we are to have any chance.
-
Pressure. Crumble.
-
I don’t care where we play them as long as the game goes ahead. The last thing we need is yet another interruption to our season and having to cram this game in before finals. Also lol at the arrogance here. Nothing would be more Melbourne than beating Richmond tonight and then losing to Norf next week.
-
Next week, if Covid doesn’t ruin things, is the time to bring Weid or Brown back and see if we can play 3 or even 4 talls. Richmond are too potent on the counterattack and having to many forwards who don’t apply defensive pressure is risky, especially when they’ve never played together cohesively. Good move to pick Fritsch IF he is 100%
-
Super human recovery from both guys. I hope Fritsch is right to go, because he’s a defensive liability if he isn’t leading and marking.
-
Seems unlikely. I mean who have the players come into contact with? They just arrived. I doubt they are out partying. They'll have their movements limited, they will get tested before returning home and then tested again during the week. I don't think the Tassie government will give up the cash from the AFL over a handful of cases on the other side of the country, and if Tassie is happy to let them in, the AFL definitely won't say no.
-
Game going ahead with no crowd. Lucky North, they are now a 1% chance of winning.
-
It would make no difference to next week if this game is cancelled. Just like when our game against Essendon was cancelled, the following weeks went ahead as scheduled. They will likely play this game during the bye or in the week prior to finals if no other game is impacted during the season.
-
Well firstly I assume the AFL can organise a special charter flight like they did last year. Or alternatively they could get off the plane and then board another one immediately to Tassie. The risk of them getting infected is so minimal given they are coming to play, so are off the plane, on a team bus, into the hotel etc. They could quite easily have their movements limited. I suggest the game in Perth will go ahead but potentially with no crowds. Basically like last year.
-
Sounds like it will be a 3 day lockdown. I suggest North will travel straight down to Tassie from WA and our game should go ahead as scheduled. Also [censored] Covid and the endless [censored] coming out of these returned travellers and these quarantine hotels. 18 months later and we still can't get it right.

What an ordinary collection of players. ? -

Yes, yes he is. Back pocket flankers with speed, good defensive skills and exceptional ball use are worth their weight in gold in the modern day. Look at the sort of money Saad and Hill commanded, and they are not as good as Salem. Salem sets up so many of our counter attacks, while also shutting down his opponent. He is for me in our top 6 most important players, and is one we have no replacement for. Absolute gun. -
Christ these footballers are super human. They sustain serious injuries and bounce right back. It's pretty unbelievable. I would retire immediately if someone broke my eye socket.

Jordon cannot be dropped. Clearly he is the lucky charm. -

Five years is an excellent result. He is best mates with Trac and Oliver, both of whom will come out of contract during his 5 year contract.... fingers crossed Salem staying put will go just a tiny way to swaying those two to also sign on. -
There is no doubt that of these two, Fritsch is the better player, with more recent runs on the board who will give the team a lot more output. However I can't see them dropping Melksham after kicking 3 goals last week, and he probably deserves a run of games before we put a line through him. Unless Fritsch is 100% fit, there is no point risking him when we have so many other options.

Explains a lot about what is happening with Oliver’s hair. Thankfully Salem cuts his opponent better than he cuts hair. -
If we win 3 flags in 4 years, I too will turn into an arrogant [censored]. I promise. Just give me those flags!
