They will put players into lockdown before they do more hubs. I am sure most players would rather be confined to their houses and training rather than be away from family again.

We already have a mystery case and it’s an aged care nurse. And somehow only half the residents have had their first vaccine. The mind boggles. I have absolutely zero confidence in anything to do with this state and their ability to manage this pandemic. We have shown utter inaptitude for 18 months now. I hope you are right and this is over on Thursday night. But I bet my bottom dollar it won’t be.

Hard decision. Finances must come into it, even tho I wish it wouldn’t. Can we afford to lose the money? Because without a doubt fly in fly out means we likely lose the game.

Totally different scenario. It was a very small outbreak with minimal exposure sites. It was hot. It was a different variant. And the key is we went very early. We needed to go to lockdown on Tuesday last week. Then it would be 7 days. We will be lucky to get out in 14 days. A month would not surprise me either. This is clearly running away from contact tracers.

Because they should have put us into lockdown as soon as we had that one case we didn’t know the link to. They didn’t. They stuffed up yet AGAIN. And so they don’t want to deflate us all and cause more angst. They say 7 days, we say ok we can do that. Then they say just a few more days and so on. Imagine if the original 6 week lockdown last year was announced as an 8 months lockdown. We would burn the place down. It’s manipulating hope.

Not to mention we are finally going well and we can’t go to games. Absolute balls.

It is probably not a coincidence that the states with the best approach to Covid have Liberal governments. Tassie has done well but NSW has really delivered without shutting borders, with multiple outbreaks, with taking the large bulk of arrivals from overseas and without unnecessary chest pumping. QLD have been a joke and WA just drive their own pathetic agenda. I wonder how quickly they’d open their borders if we took away the GST revenue we funnel to them every year. As for SA... stole our 4 points last week. Gave us a lockdown this week. Pr!cks.

If lockdown ends on Thursday I’ll eat my hat. They’ll wait to get thru an entire 14 days incubation cycle given the number of exposure sites and the consistency of case numbers.

To activate the medical sub for concussion they would have had to do a 20 minute assessment. Ed was clearly concussed and the decision to activate the sub with 90 seconds to go was irrelevant to next week’s outcome for Langdon.
