Completely agreed. I would be really annoyed if one of our players did that. The outwardly behaviour that was clear for everyone to see at the ground and on TV was not acceptable in my mind. Have a word to your opponent sure, it will stay on the field and that is fine. But Parker just made himself look like a total tool and publicly embarrassed his opponent, which is so unnecessary. Takes away from the excellent player Parker is, and put the focus on his dumb behaviour instead of his team's great performance.

Terribly sad news. He was a highlight machine and one of the few Essendon players I genuinely loved to watch. Wish him all the very best in the future.

I agree that Bedford is better as an option for Harmes than Dunstan. Dunstan is a good ordinary inside mid with grunt. He is a replacement for Viney or Clarry. Harmes rarely plays on ball, he plays much more wing and half forward. Bedford gives us pace and the ability to push ANB inside, or Spargo up the wing as needed. It means Sparrow plays more inside minutes and Bedford plays as a half forward. Being Indigenous round only adds to the point that Bedford should play, and the fact we are playing a side that is hardly going allows us to play around with a few positions as needed.

I don't have an issue with their fans, I just don't feel the need to protect them by going easy and not smashing them by 12 goals. This competition will chew you up and spit you out. It is every club for themselves. Now is our time and [censored] the rest.

My question is, if the Chandler tackle results in say an AC join injury similar to the Jack Steele tackle, does Chandler get suspended? Or is concussion the only outcome based ruling in the AFL? Because I don't remember Hawkins getting suspended for the consequence of May having his jaw broken. I hope we challenge this one. We don't have much to lose, as Chandler coping an extra week is neither here nor there, but I am sick to death of big name players from big clubs getting off and our players getting reamed.
