  1. He said he is playing every game as if it’s his last. And it shows. Like Jesus on Easter, he’s resurrected himself from the grave!
  2. That’s the price you pay for playing a forward against a 6 time AA ruckman. Gawn worked him under the ball and made him infringe. Gawn > any other ruckman in the AFL currently, and arguably since Cox.
  3. Also missing SPP and JHF. I guess they’ve chronically underachieved, so they’re rightly on edge.
  4. Exactly right. You have to be facing the ball in a ruck throw in. If you’re facing your opponent in a wrestle you get pinged. Exactly the same way a defender gets pinged for holding if he’s facing his opponent and not the ball (which both teams got pinged for last night). It’s why they always say “eyes on the ball”. Finlayson (I think?) turned his body and was holding Gawn around the waist in that contest. You can’t do that.
  5. And Dixon kicked a goal after the siren and clearly ran off his mark, which is technically not allowed. We had a good run from the umpires, but we won because we took our chances and kicked some incredible goals. Port fluffed their chances inside 50, which they had plenty more of than us. It’s nice when the shoe is on the other foot.
  6. I’m sure he will. It’s no wonder that Ed is having his best start to a season since 2021 IMO. Because without an experienced second winger in Gus or Hunter, we are using his wing far more frequently. The more we start to trust Windsor the more he will get the ball in his hands. At the moment he’s almost hunting his own ball which is an impressive trait to have as a wingman.
  7. My favourite way to watch the replay is to watch Ben Brown’s reaction to every goal we kick. He’s set up his own one man cheer squad in the goal square. Hilarious.
  8. The best thing about Windsor is that he’s already shown that he doesn’t need much of the ball to be incredibly damaging. He had 12 touches yesterday for 4 score involvements and a goal. That is elite. Of course the more he gets his hands on the footy the more damaging he will be, but he doesn’t need to be a big accumulator to be incredibly influential, which is why you can tell he’s headed for stardom.
  9. Looking at them on TV last night, I’m frankly shocked they can use a phone. Some absolute inbred [censored] in that crowd.
  10. On expected scores we are probably the 2023 premiers. Except we are not. Port let themselves down in front of goal and didn’t take advantage of their inside 50 dominance. That’s football. We’ve lost plenty of games we should have won. As Goody said, we were better during crucial moments and took our chances. A fantastic victory!
  11. At least the Crows only have one extra day, but with a trip back from Perth. So both are disadvantaged in a way. It sounds like the club are turning this fixture debacle into a positive and setting up a mini hub for the week. The last time we were in a hub we won a flag.
  12. He turned around to the crowd and told them to F off after he kicked his last goal Worth the fine. We salute you Fritta đŸ«Ą
  13. Gus would be so proud of the newest member of the wingers club â€ïžđŸ’™
  14. Steven May says he’s fine
  15. Without May and with Petty going forward in the last, that is a bloody good result considering the patches of absolute dominance Port had in the middle.
  16. Gus used to joke that he could never get a 4 pack, let alone a 6 pack. Muscles don’t equal fitness.
  17. Where are all the whingers who had a go at the club for retaining Tmac and BB 🙄 We are a genuinely good club and we have a genuinely good team, and we need to stop taking that for granted. A brilliant result considering we were definitely not always on top. We hung on during the momentum swings against us and were able to grind out a win in the last. Kudos to Clarry for lifting in the last. He was clearly hampered by his hand but when the game was on the line, he pushed through. Sensational game from ANB, and Windsor just shows elite glimpses. Knowing we got him from the Jackson compo picks makes losing Jackson hurt less. Howes also quickly becoming a solid defender. Overall a fantastic performance and a big FU to all the pathetic disgruntled ex employees trying to bring our club down. Suck a big one!
  18. ANB the underrated king of football Windsor is fire
  19. The umpires tried until the last minute. Too bad so sad.
  20. Unfortunately that tackle will always get a free. It’s dangerous.
  21. So costly from Rivers. He’s had a lot of costly mistakes tonight.
  22. I think Clarry is very hampered by that finger. He doesn’t look right.
  23. Max is a god amongst mere mortals. What a player!
