  1. He could take Judd’s role as a shut down small defender, freeing Judd to play a more attacking role further up the ground.
  2. Not enough support for Gawn who just about locked away his 8th AA jacket today. The man is an absolute freak of nature. If anyone says he isn’t the best ruckman of the modern era they can give themselves an uppercut.
  3. I fell out of love with AFL because of that game. Something definitely died that night and it’s never been back. Watching Sparrow today was very sad. PTSD for sure for the supporters around us. I just hope he will be ok. Those knock out injuries are just horrific. They make you feel sick to your stomach. I can only imagine what his parents and partner felt watching it.
  4. It was at that moment that I vowed to never attend an away game against the Pies again (finals aside). You will never see me sit with, or financially support that despicable club and their braindead, coke sniffing, toothless trash supporters.
  5. I was surprised to see him not get subbed ahead of X, but also understand that Lindsay must be battling hard with limited pre season playing wing. To me Kolt is not a half forward, and he won’t succeed playing that role. We need to give him wing time like we have all of Langford, Lindsay and Windsor. It’ll expose him to a lot more of the ball and get him more involved. I don’t know what role he plays long term, but right now he is having minimal impact on games and is not earning his spot in the team. He’s getting games because we want to play these high draft picks, but eventually you have to show something to keep your spot.
  6. Of course they were. They think Melbourne players are free targets. Xerri had no reason to put his arm out like that. He lost the contest already. I don’t think he meant to knock him out, but he did and for that he gets 3-4 weeks.
  7. Today showed us all why Gawn >>>> Xerri every day of the week. Laughable to discuss them in the same breath. Hope he gets a nice holiday for that swinging arm. [censored]. Credit to Fritta and Salem, both played very well. Really good to see Jeffo compete so strongly. Langford also brilliant. Nice to win again.
  8. I am very happy with that game from Jeffo. Goal kicking aside, he’s working his behind off and contesting well.
  9. Looks like a shoulder. We are cooked without him. Agreed I’m happy with Jeffo’s attack on the contest. It’s all you can ask for in game 5.
  10. I do enjoy Langford and X playing more midfield. But otherwise I don’t know what the game plan is. I wish they’d give Chin more game time on the wing.
  11. The lack of skills from senior players is abysmal Let’s hope Melky is alright
  12. 3 on 1 and Curtis marks. Embarrassing effort.
  13. Midfield again getting spanked.
  14. Lots of people here surprisingly enough. Parents desperate to entertain their kids I guess
  15. Begrudgingly dragging my husband for his first game of the season to try and bolster attendance. He is so thrilled 🙄😂
  16. Yze is a fantastic coach. Tactically and also managerially. Few coaches would have done better with the list they currently have. Compare to North under Clarkson who have a far more talented list. I only watched the last 10 minutes and it was a horrible horrible game. But winning ugly is better than losing pretty. Credit to Richmond they defended their lead well.
  17. They’re extremely young and they’ve had a much better season than anyone expected. A win is a win when you’re in a rebuild. Credit to Yze.
  18. I asked how is he still watching and he replied with “why am I still supporting this team is the better question” 😂
  19. One of my best mates is an Essendon man, and he just texted our footy group chat to say that this is the worse game he’s ever seen. That’s saying something when you’re an Essendon supporter.
  20. Joke’s on you, I don’t watch footy that doesn’t involve Melbourne anymore. So as far as I’m concerned, Geelong and Pies are battling it out for the spoon.
  21. Yze looking impressive with his marking, but he has not been blessed with his dad’s goal kicking skills.
  22. And one of the nicest humans you’ll ever meet. An absolute disgrace that he’s never won a Brownlow.
  23. Unlikely if he has Covid. I think the rules changed a bit since the pandemic. Of course I’m sure those rules only apply to Collingwood and Geelong 🙄
  24. I’m not sure where Laurie is at, but surely it’s not at Melbourne next season. I don’t mind persisting with Jeffo and Kolt, we need to make a lot of list management decisions in the next year, and we can’t make them without giving players exposure. I would love to see Windsor back to a wing and Langford/Lindsay spending more time in the middle, with Viney playing a defensive forward role.
