  1. None of the following will be new to Dees fans, but the Melksham "incident" and related commentary gives me the irrits. Melksham goes for the ball, uses his body (not arms) and takes the mark. McGovern get bumped out of the way, and collides with Petty, who was dangerously pushed into the contest by Ginbey. But the West Coast parrots who pass for commentators reckon Melksham could be suspended? I was pleasantly suprised that Goody defended Melksham in the presser, and stated that he thought it was a mark to Melksham (ie not even a free kick) and that the reason for Petty's concussion needed to be equally scruntinised. What are your thoughts? And don't get me started on the high contact free and fifty to Viney which lead to a goal. Surely that is at least as worth of discussion? But of course it was a Melbourne player on the receiving end, so ... crickets.
  2. Expanding their evil empire presumably ...
  3. C'mon Bub, the answer is right there in your question ... Eddie McMouth only seems to chip in when it seems there is something in it for the filth ... 😀
  4. High impact, no contact, intensional means it is classified as a fine rather than a suspension. Defence arguement of great bloke, first offence and a very large bunch of credits in the bank was accepted, meaning that the fine of 10 banana smoothies is imposed, but suspended pending any further offence before the next Demons victory or the KB game against the filth (whichever comes first). Any further offence resulting in a resoundingly famous Demons victory will result in it becoming as compulsory to the podcast as the theme tune ...
  5. Sounds rather like a difficult contortion, especially when running at full pace ... 😀
  6. Some are also bananas about horses 😀
  7. A classic reason why we need a "chunder" emoji ... 😃
  8. Only if we get to put up a sign that says "Welcome to Hell" at the entrance ... :-)
  9. Sounds like he thinks he has seen a ghost (not unlikley on a forum decidated to demons) 😆
  10. Send the above CV to Gary Pert and offer him your services ...
  11. 57 years between flags will do that to you ... :-)
  12. Good to have you back DF. Not much banana-related developments of late (unless you count the interest in the off-field workings of the Dees, over which the football "journalism" community appear to have gone bananas ... :-) )
  13. Did either salute?
  14. And a few hayburners as well?
  15. Thanks. Still about 25,000 short of the MCG capacity. Is it suitable for footy there?
  16. 10 goal win. Always. Any day of the week.
  17. Not sure it is as simple as that. The MCG has the biggest crowd capacity in the country (there were 100,013 at the GF apparently). None of the other regular footy stadiums hold more than 55,000 IIRC. So unless some other city builds a stadium with an oval arena with a capacity for 90,000+ fans, there will never be an economic case for holding it anywhere else. Even in an era when the TV rights run the game, not even the AFL are silly enough to pass up the income from 45,000 extra GF tickets (ie massive $$s) ...
  18. I am sure they would be very happy to make an enormous mess all over the place!
  19. Already been out to Caulfield Park with the woofers. Beautiful day for it. Much pointless running enjoyed. Probably should have taken them to the racecourse instead!
  20. I think you mean monochrome --- otherwise that phrase is close to ban-worthy :-)
  21. Looks like you got your wish ... https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1643280/petracca-confirms-demon-commitment
  22. Sorry to hear it. Hope you get to see Max lift the 2025 premiership cup!

Very sad news. Condolences to the family. Life is all too fleeting ...
