A bit OTT ding. I'm not a great fan of tags, but its all part of the diversity of street art, some good, some not so much (which btw doesn't mean i condone all tagging). Street artists know the temporary nature of their work, to be covered by others of all graffiti persuasions. Rather a tag than the council remove or paint over it, which doesn't happen in Hozier Lane any more but used to regularly. Tags of various styles have a long history in cities around the world, most notably in the US. Most "non art lovers" saw all street art in Melbourne as vandalism before the turn of the millennium. Tastes change.

I'm liking Gawn and Stretch in already. Stretch gives us outside speed and run and Gawn, well... enough said. Keep up the relentless midfield pressure and we might just snag this one.

Love the guy, love his perseverance and fortitude. But I'm in the camp that says he has no future at the Dees beyond this year. He might get another chance or two, but the game has gone past him IMO. People talk about Sam Mitchell, Priddas, Hodge etc being slow yet fast in mind and good with disposal. However, they are all close to the end of their careers and the game is getting faster and faster and Jack is not at their level. That type of player will likely struggle in the future. VFL is miles slower than AFL, Jack is 25 and should be at the peak of his skills and speed. I'd love to be wrong, would be wrapped to see him on any AFL list next year, but it saddens me to say I cannot see a playing future for him at MFC.

Looks to me like a PR thing. Might be part of a new add or promo. On the other hand, could be that Banksy is a Melbourne supporter

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever

I noticed that Lever originates from Romsey. Could that be a significant factor in negotiations? How about free board at BBO's mansion and all the jolly good floggings he could possibly enjoy? Hard to knock that generous offer back -
The Age has Steven May set to re-sign with Suns in next week or so. Agreed to terms, waiting for manager to return from o/seas holiday. Typical. Grundy set to re-sign too

Not a betting man. Do you doubt he would be a fitting winner? -

I'm calling it... Hibberd will win the bluey. -
Yes, tend to agree. Subi is a fast track and AFL is miles quicker than VFL. Replacing Jones with Trenners isn't like for like. Jones is much quicker and more agile. Would have thought Wags or Stretch to hb and Salem into the middle. Vince and/or Milkshake to tag if need be. However, I trust match selection these days and would love to be proved wrong. The last couple of weeks our relentless pressure has been very good, and that's one thing going in JTs favour.

Article says Wiz will be playing alongside Brad Flower, son of Robbie.

Thought you'd be a VB man Earl. (written in sarcasm font)

Watching 'all the goals' on the club site, I was interested to note the high number of goals that Pedo had a direct hand in. About 5 or 6 from my calculations. Not bad for...... a depth player

Wags to half back, Salem to middle?

Thought Jones' issue was groin? Didn't know the calf bone is connected to the hip bone!

I've heard next year's draft is a cracker. This year's is shallow. Would JT consider a deal involving our 1st rounder + player this year to Hawks for their 1st rounder next year (assuming future pick rules petmit)? Gets them back in early this year for another ridiculous high profile trade and gives us a second 1st rounder for 2018 draft. Obviously not as simple as that, but you get my intent.

Contact the club to thank them and ask if it might be possible for your family to get access to the club rooms after the game. Should (when) we win the atmosphere is great there, especially if you are new to the game. Maybe even meet the players. Could be a good public relations story for the club, "family travels to other end of the earth to see the Dees play". Failing that, you're welcome to sit with Bitter But Optimistic, Biffen and I. We'll look after you and your family!

Storm in a teacup. No big deal

Like I've said before, pedo will be 31 by next season. He won't be playing afl at 34-35. I love the guy, but its one more year, tops. Should we trade for an experienced tall forward who can also play ruck pedo may not go beyond 2017. I'd like to see another high end mid, either with our 1st rounder or trade for one. Perhaps outside mid. I think another young ruck, as not confident about King and Flipper making it. Can never have enough good mids.

Sure, but he's not exactly what could be described as durable or super fit. Big men who are depth often burn out quickly. I hope not though. He's a favourite of many
