They are now costing me money..
-
There is a complete lack of forward craft how Stafford still has a job has me beat and it has been this way since 22 and it shows up when the ball struggles to get into the forward line, players standing still standing and standing on the wrong side when the ball comes in.

Stop blaming umpires it's not the reason we are losing.

What's disappointing about that is that he used to clunk everything for Casey.
He's OK when the ball comes in soft but not when it comes in with pace.

Very Bizarre about JVR, you can't just forget how to mark. Confidence issues?
No it's his marking technique full stop.
-
I have said it once and I will say it again JVR has cricketers hands when the ball comes in at pace his wrists are cocked back to far and his hands are facing the ball on impact.
Why do forwards always start from behind or stand on the wrong side of the incoming ball and stand flat-footed hope they change it after half time.

Is Max not that bright to realise they are letting him thump the ball out of the ruck contest.

Starting to come around for a line forwards or backs cannot cross during play, this is just ruby.

Is there a chance someone can stand next to a lions player at the back of a stoppage.

No, not damn hard on them, merely stating what would be their likely preference, given where most of them live.
They are entitled to have a preference on where they would prefer to train, not that it would always be accommodated.
They might also have a preference which club they would like to play with and that also is not always possible.
Guess you missed the sarcasm and no they don't have a say where they train that is up to the club case in point you live 20 minutes from work and you're work decides to move an hour away do you think they would ask you if that's ok, it's a commercial decision. We will have to to see what the club decides.

Caulfield will likely be less restricted for room than Casey, with less parking issues and more room for buildings.
More to the point, the MFC don't want to be based solely at Casey and I suspect the players would agree.
It is great for what it currently is and will be, an adjunct to a permanent, more centrally located home base.
Yeah it's damm hard to travel there for 4 hours a day 3- 4 days a week when most players are on $300,000 + a year it must be hard on them.

There are now four boundary umpires at each game and it seems to me that there are more than four different throw in styles.
Throw ins are too high, too slow, too short, too low, too (pick a word). In other words they are hopelessly inconsistent and the ruckmen can very rarely set up in a position where there is a fair contest. How often is it a speed contest to reach a short ball at hip level while at the same time grappling and wrestling in a manner that would be penalised in a marking contest. A blot on our great game.
Surely the AFL can coach and then select boundary umpires who are consistent with their throw ins and can produce a fair contest.
GO MAXIE
Well we how many coaches do clubs have and guys cannot kick straight for goal from 20 out and they are full time, think there are more problems to worry about than throw ins from the boundary.

I didn't have a good view of the rehab/light duties area, what I saw, McAdam was doing some easy ball work with the others. In previous sessions he had a personal program and was running by himself, although last time I saw him he did do some drills with the main group.
He was in his normal training attire, and not the rehab shirt.
Thanks.

I don’t understand football. How can StKilda be in front when they only kicked one goal in the first half
Well they kicked 1 more goal than us in 1991 v west coast..

i can't think of another 'professional' league where the 'officiating officials' are part-timers
how do you accordingly hold them to account? in the afl, they don't
he's looking the goods as a tall defender
You play with what given to you, being full time would not have helped with the players touching the ball around the ground. But I believe they should be full time.
-
If the umpire didn't hear so be it he only gives decisions on what they see or hear or do we now just say that if a player says he touched it it must be so. Stop blaming umpires for everything it's a damm hard job, players make more mistakes than umpires during the game yet all supporters can say it's the umpires fault we lost the game.
No game with officiating officials is not perfect.

They talked about the mark & the goal but avoided any discussion about the two very obvious hands in Rivers back
Commentators are like the weather changes every minute each one has a different perspective on the game and quite frankly who cares, if people get upset over their calling I suggest they take a Bex and a good lie down because next week they say the opposite the following week.

he was set for midfield for the season prior to bowey being broken
As I said he won't play midfield all season even when Bowey comes back.

i judge him on what he says. He is frustrating as he does have good footy knowledge but tends to focus on random nonsense and repeat himself a lot
Not saying he doesn't dribble on I tend to listen when he explains a play or the position players should be that's all I do and forget the noise.

Salem moves back to midfield and Bowey slots back into the defense.
Salem will not play midfield all year does not have the tank for that he would blow out just like Kossie, Salem is only good for short bursts he foes not get involved enough for midfield.

but why change it when he's 30 games in and settled and a key part of our most important area?
it's not just about his excellent ball use for me; it's about how good he is defensively
Depends on how you view it so who goes out for Bowey, Howes has been excellent and not put a foot wrong, Mc Donald, River's who?
