    They traffic was horrendous

The toilet seats in the change rooms should have been left up for good luck

    The coin toss was crooked

    The mosquito's were too annoying

Their sunglasses fogged up too much

They were required to wear masks in Covid

The Tattslotto place was too far to pick up the div 1 check

It was pizza and chocolate's fault that they were obese.

    The dog ate their homework.

Yes we are but the Dees has become common usage on the street.

True fact ... When I see someone wearing a Demons cap or other garment (not at the footy) I usually say "go Dees" rather than "morning", "g'day" etc to that person. It is invariably met with a good response.

  3. Here's the thing.

Towards the end of the 2022 season, his form was abysmal. He should have been dropped. But he wasn't dropped because the Club was trying to convince him to stay.

He was a total liability in the finals' matches. Would the team have performed better with him out of the side? (Please cue Twilight Zone type music.)

  4. I met Kozzy today at the Family Day. What a charming young man!

I asked him whether he would sign up with the Dees for next season. He said yes. I asked him whether I could record that ... he said no !!

I remember when MFC picked him at #12 in the draft. At the time I thought that was 'overs'. In hindsight ... what a steal!!

  5. I popped in for a little while. Seemed to be well organised, and a very pleasant atmosphere. No sign of Max, Angus, Trac, Viney and a few other A graders when I was there. Perhaps they turned up later?

I had short chats with Kozzy & Langers ... both really nice.

I asked Kozzy if he was signing on for next year. He said yes. I asked if I could record that ... he said no!!

I asked Langers about his rib injury from last year. Supposedly 'bruised'. He said that he had broken ribs ... x 4 !! Which is obviously why his form dropped off so much.

Our men will be attending Family Day, of course. Our women’s team is on a break but the girls being the girls there’ll likely be some of them attending. Daisy has already said she’ll be there.

Also wanted to mention that as well as our usual fare (sausage in bread, soft drink, bottled water etc.) we’ll have cakes. One of our members is a professional baker and her cupcakes are to die for. We’ll also be selling merch.

Perhaps the move was prompted by an adverse report in today’s astrological charts for the precinct around Olympic and AAMI Parks and Gosch’s Paddock to move training to Casey Fields. The moon is in the Seventh House and Jupiter’s aligning with Uranus. I’m informed that Collingwood missed this vital news and, as a result, ruckman Darcy Cameron suffered a fresh hamstring setback at training this morning which could derail the start to their season. The Pies also have just realised they cleared their best ruckman during the trade period.

If Jupiter aligned with Mars (cf. Uranus), then peace would guide the planets, and love will steer the stars.

  8. Like others, I turned up at Goschs Paddock this morning. I had arranged to meet my son + his partner who are out from the UK for a few weeks.

    Very disappointing ....

Only saving grace was having breakfast with my son + partner in Swan Street when we realised that training wasn't happening.

I felt particularly sorry for the couple + little boy who were there. The boy must have been very disappointed.

  9. Daisy is the football equivalent of the Get Smart character Simon the Likeable. (The tennis equivalent was/is Ash Barty.)

Who doesn't love Daisy? She's charming, intelligent ... [insert other adjectives here]. However I'm glad she has decided to retire. She was pretty much cooked as a player. Shame she's going to the puddy tatts though.

    Agree.

It's not the cm size on paper, it's how they play. Curnow's a perfect example. Meanwhile Gawn's a good example in reverse - has all the height in the world, but just isn't a forward.

    Yeah ... size isn't everything ...
