  1. Make no mistake. We were hunted throughout the whole of last year. Every-one wants to take down the undefeated mob sitting on top of the ladder. And with our reputation of choking when the pressure's applied they all thought they could be the ones to do it. This year we need to put that reputation to rest once and for all. Put the foot on their throats early and keep it there.
  2. As far as I'm concerned. Everything has been laid to rest. Apart from my undying hatred for Essenscum, I'm at peace.
  3. Side note. Only West coast won another with their list 2 seasons later. We're gonna have to show the league how it's done.
  4. Google. If the Demons win the grand final with the same team that defeated Brisbane in last week's qualifying final, only Collingwood (2010), Essendon (1993), the Western Bulldogs (2016) and West Coast (1992) will have claimed a premiership with a younger group. Coach Simon Goodwin fielded a team with an average age of 24 years and 180 days at the Adelaide Oval against the Lions. The Magpies' flag 11 years ago remains the youngest of the modern-era, with Collingwood winning the 2010 grand final replay against St Kilda with a team boasting an average age of 24 years and 57 days.
  5. Was just out the back yard cleaning a couple fish while listening to the SEN call of the Prelim. Gawny just booted his bomb from fiddy-five and I caught myself getting abit choked up .... Again. Thought the novelty might worn off abit by now ..... Nope.
  6. Who cares. We're gonna unfurl our flag in front of them gameday. Should leave a sign as well. "We stuck it right up 'em."😂
  7. Just looked like he mighta been gay to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  8. My Fave ..... And Hanks 😎
  9. I watched Gus and Gawneys podcast when they had Goodwin on. They asked Goodwin who his favourite player was. And the answer was ...... Vines. "You watch his vision .... He's actually half mad." Point being .... If anyone thinks Dunstan is gonna walk past Viney into this side had better have a rethink. And he won't be getting past Sparrow IMO either. He's a gem.
  10. One major minor error was glossing over the GF win IMO.
  11. Sounds an interesting read. What sort of examples of corruption does it talk about?
  12. 2021 eh .... Who woulda thought 🏆
  13. The game has passed by a heap of commentators. Daisy Pearce explaining to Brian Taylor why they didn't "Stick it out infront of Kozzie!" a prime example. Cannnot believe Mark McLure has a job these days. Gerard Healy ......
  14. My daughter declared she wanted to watch the 1st 2 matrix movies againn before she shes the latest one. Told me the 1st times she watched them she was just a kid and didn't understand what was going on. I told her I've watched them both twice as an adult and I still don't understand 'em.
  15. Didn't watch or listen to the radio calls of the 2nd or early part of the 3rd qtrs for a few weeks after the game. Just wanted the good parts. But I've found watching and listening to the whole game just makes the comeback better. Commentators were gearing up to hang the Norm Smith around Bont's neck and then get blown away by 10mins of power the football world won't soon forget. To be fair the whole last month of games was power football starting half way through rd23. A comeback for the ages against geelong taking top spot for the home and away. Comfortable win against respected Lions. Destroyed the cats in the prelim with Gawn on fire. And then after abit of to-and-fro, suddenly ripping the dogs hearts out on Grand Final day.
  16. The Viney toe poke into space ...... Past the sweeper 😂 😎👌
  17. Old man rang me this morning for Xmas. Dad - "I bought you a book for Xmas." Me - "I bought you a book for Xmas." Dad - "Is it Gawnys book ?" Me - "Lol .... Yeah." Dad - "It's great, I read it in 2 days." Me - "Yeah .... I read yours in a day." Apple doesn't fall far from the tree 😂😈
  18. There's a couple of broken St.Kilda supporters at work. They've gotta walk past my 2021 premiers poster everyday in the canteen. Reckon I caught one glancing at it today. Would break their hearts 😈
  19. I see what ya did there 😂😎❤️
  20. I've posted a few times about the moment on this forum. I loved Frittas 4th over the back of the pack to put us back in it. And Browns mark 10seconds later holding the ball up high like he does and exactly what we got him for. Petraccas all class little runner got the juices flowing. Sparrows off a step I thought I was redlining right then ....... We were coming real hard for this game now. But Olivers ...... Holy 5hit ..... The big guns are takin' it right here .... Right now. I have the image below burnt into my brain like looking through a tunnel with my fist in front of my face just forken roaring. Imagine that sound from 50 thousand of us at the 'G'. Would've been something else.
  21. Now finding myself trying to repress the urge to roar "C'mon Demons!" whenever I watch or listen to the radio calls of Olivers goal. It's like an involuntary reaction that's part of me now. How I'd love to relive that moment and feeling in real time. Just so, not sure if the right word but ..... Primal.
  22. I remember one year he blasted out in front of the Brownlow count but missed about 6games late in the season. And that was that.
  23. Ahhh .... I know exactly what ya talkin' about 😉 But the old man hated Iron Maiden 😂 But I learnt the trick from him. Got a couple Gene Pitney albums back in the day for Xmas. Gotta say though.... "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" is still one of my all time favourite songs. So thanks Dad.
