I didn't get to the game on Wednesday night but had very similar feelings about being kitted out in Melbourne gear on my way to the station for our premiership celebration at the "G" in early December. Getting closer to the station there they were walking the pavements headed in the same direction as me. The Melbourne faithful out and proud. I fit right in. Also loved seeing all the kids. Future members to ensure our future existence.

The boys talked the talk last year from pretty early on and then proceeded to walk the walk. They've talked the talk again and now it's time to walk the walk ... Again. I remember Nietas speech after losing the GF in 2000. Said he "Hooped we'd be able to get back here one day for another crack" or something similar. Was thinking at the time ... "No, thats not what I want to hear." I wanna hear we'll be back next year and win this forken thing. I prefer the noise coming from the club now than then.

I haven't watched any the presenter has done with the other clubs but he seems to have a genuine enthusiasm for Melbourne. Makes me wonder if he's a supporter. Does anyone know who he is or if he is one of us?

The only thing that makes us look shaky is our kicking for goal. If it wasn't for that the GF would've been over by half time. Hope Petracca for eg spent time on his kicking with Choco during the break. As good as he is he sprays them everywhere.
