  1. We'll never develop the young guys properly if they don't have some mature quality around them. We need a genuine A grader, another Vince type, and another vandenBerg/Newton type IMO.
  2. Strongly disagree. Midfield, midfield, midfield is the focus for mine.
  3. A fair few were actually. Plus, it's our lack of spread and run without the ball that is effecting that mostly.
  4. 8 contested possessions. More than McDonald, Howe, Lumumba, Dunn, Brayshaw, Hogan and a fair few others....
  5. 21 touches at 81%.
  6. Your Toumpas bias is getting tedious.
  7. Winning will get us more young members, and at the moment Howe isn't helping us do that. Plus, we have Hogan, Garlett, Viney and more who are pretty popular with the kids too.
  8. I'm not saying I want to trade every single other player, I'm just saying I wouldn't even entertain offers for the guys listed. I think guys like Frost, Kent, Tyson, Jetta, Garlett, vB, are really important players for us and a big part of our future, I just don't think they've stamped themselves as absolute untouchables just yet.
  9. I'd gladly trade a poster boy for a monster. I'm grateful for Howe's speccies because they wallpaper over the fact that he's pretty useless otherwise.
  10. I like Tyson, but I've been a bit underwhelmed so far.
  11. For me, it's not just about skill. Viney is untouchable for the same reason Jones is, he provides us with a bit of heart which is something we can't afford to trade away.
  12. Thought about it. I like him, I just wouldn't put him in the totally untouchable group..... yet.
  13. Let's be honest here.... Totally untouchable: Jones, Hogan, McDonald, Brayshaw, Viney, Petracca, Salem. I'd trade anyone else for the right offer. Let me say that again before anyone arcs up, the right offer.
  14. If they can't break into a team that struggles to win more than 4 games do you think they're worth keeping then?
  15. Yeah cos you know, everyone is talking about how good our depth is this year........
  16. Agreed. But what I would say is those guys should not be on our list as if/when we get these stars those guys will be the first to go to make room on the list and the order shuffles down. As much as I love guys like Cross, Garland, Grimes, Jamar, Pedo etc, we need to realise that THEY are the ones who will be the depth players when we have a decent list.

Technically I was having a whinge about the whingers, so I guess it's the correct thread...

Where does this end?! We can't trade them for each other now. Toumpas wasn't a surprise pick, he was taken where he was expected to be. The only purpose any of this serves is for whingers like WYL to fill Demonland with more complaining and ridiculous conspiracy theories. Seeing names like Morton, Scully, and Neeld show up in this thread just shows what a bunch of sooks 'Land has become.

Good old WYL. We'll win a flag one year and all you be doing is still complaining about the past. Let it go pal.

Has had a long time out with injuries, came back early with not much preparation due to said injuries, had a sensational game. You're both incredibly wrong.
  24. I really don't think any of those guys are a big enough step up from what we have.
  25. We need a big forward and a good ruck, Wright is both of those things. Plenty of mids who were drafted turned out no good either, terrible logic. Tell me who this great ruck is who isn't getting a regular game somewhere and will take over from Jamar/Spencer? Name some.
