Who exactly would you have recruited last year who could have capably rucked while Max was injured this year and rucked 50:50 in 14 games enabling Max to hit this time of year in full fitness compared to last year when he was broken?  You provided an example of someone who wasn't available - that's not too hard to do.

Re Fritta: I don’t know any other details apart from what the Club has issued, that is, he’ll be right for Sydney. I spoke with Pauline for an hour on Tuesday and an hour or so yesterday and… forgot to ask about him. 😬 Soz all, but her and I have gone beyond mother of an MFC footballer and unhinged, slightly deranged cheer squad member, and are now just a couple of good buddies. We have many other things to talk about including, believe it or not, my own son who’s the same age as Bayley. 😁

LOL I have a framed pic of Fritta on the lounge room wall. My son asked if Pauline has a framed pic of him on her lounge room wall. She said “did you kick six goals in a grand final?” Nice one, Paulsy! 😂

Very disappointing WCW!  I’m wondering if you could call Mrs Fritta, enquire in detail as to 6goalfritta’s state of health with particular reference to his recently injured foot, record the conversation and post it on this thread. Perhaps then we could find it in our hearts to forgive you recent transgression.

At a sponsors event in early 2021 we were told there would be an announcement by year end by the CEO.

    ...still running the same line.....

Are they still talking about the MCG precinct?  I don’t really care but they do treat us like fodder.

So there you go putting words in my mouth again

I never said anything of the sort

Give it up, you might have most of this site on your side but your logic skills are negligible

Macca I class myself as one who doesn't go round blaming umpires and if I could be bothered to look I think you'd find posts where I've defended them.

I also had an excellent view of the incident and I thought it was a terrible decision.  I thought May put his hands on Daniher, one in the side and the other on the side of his back, to hold him out, not to push him. As far as I'm aware that's quite legal. When Daniher flung himself forward May's hand held their position, they didn't push him.

Daniher has form.  Earlier in the match he tried to milk a 50m penalty.  May was unset with the decision because he knew he didn't push him.  Daniher had misjudged the ball and May was peeling back to take the mark.

As you and I would agree, it's an impossible game to umpire and my explanation above is full of judgement's I can't be sure of.  You saw the same thing and have a completely different interpretation, just as valid as mine, but I think you're very wrong.

Let people have their opinions. Oh, and for the record, the only time I've ever wondered if the umpires cheat was the 2016 GF where the Dogs (everyone's favourites) got a dream run that was hard to explain and was a continuation of their "good fortune in the PF the week before.

Well social media is once again flooded with absolutely horrible innuendo and garbage rumours.
    Oliver deserves better.

Like what?  Letting him play injured?  As WCW says "morons will be morons".

You think the style of football they play is better than our style?

Their style leaves them incredibly vulnerable to the dice

I think what you’re overlooking AF is Collingwood success is built on defence (they have lowest against in the comp) and outstanding pressure. That strikes me as the perfect combination for winning finals.
Added to that is they play with freedom whereas we often play scared.
They are the flag favourites for good reason but like anyone they can be beaten.

Hey Slartibartfast. I know a little, it's a bit harder to keep up now with all the different types of High def TVs on the market now but hopefully can help in some way.

When the picture ghosts is it like the blurry 'multiple' image or is it more like the slightly slower movement that you see in a bad soap opera? Ghosting and blur usually comes down to two things: a) Poor refresh rate, b) mismatch between frame rate of the tv and the actual content.

I'm surprised that this is happening on an LG OLED TV as this brand and a couple of others are easily the best in this category and especially for watching sport, they usually have excellent refresh rates so I'm ruling that out. Another thing could be the settings, does it have one of those gimmick features like 'Motion blur' or 'Super motion' or something like that? You wouldn't happen to have a model no or the year handy?

Thanks Laysie.  The model number is oled65C9PTA and I reckon it's 3 or 4 years old now.  The ghosting is like a "multiple" image.  I think the refresh rate is 120Hz.

It's been suggested to me that the refresh rate is too fast for Kayo but I'm afraid the technicalities are beyond me and as far as I know there is no option to change the refresh rate in settings.  I've tried the "trumotion" setting with no result.  I've also been onto LG (who in the main are very helpful) but they haven't been able to find an answer.

A search of the internet seems to suggest that this is not an uncommon issue for this tv with some streaming services.  My major issue is that I don't want to buy a new tv and find a similar issue.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated greatly.

  8. Sometime ago I spent an obscene amount of money on a new TV, an Oled LG, 65 inch, only to find that the football ghosts when I stream Kayo.  It's very frustrating.  It's no good for golf replays either and I'm considering buying a new TV.

Does anyone have any knowledge that will help me.  I'm worried about buying a new TV  and suffering the same issue.

Any help or comments would be much appreciated.

Sounds like an admission of tanking? Dees got investigated and punished for a similar comment by Brock McLean. Where’s the AFL Integrity Unit?

Time to let the victimhood go Demonland. We’ve won a flag and have a great list. Let’s enjoy that.
