  1. Good work Pates, enjoyable viewing. I have met Angelo on a number of occasions and contrary to what most might believe, he is pretty much a quiet family man - 5 kids if I recall and all decked out in Demon gear. He hasn't posted on Demonology for a couple of years - more is the pity.
  2. Country boy Josh but Adem was around for 14 years. The bigger the gun Josh, the more they want to shoot you down
  3. Is the '12' an inclusive figure or one determined by taking the year commenced from the year retired ? No offence intended re your mathematical prowess Deevoted
  4. I think I'm lost, help James Cook played 3 games kicking 8 goals - 2 in his debut game in 2000.
  5. Don't wish your life away Josh, it goes all too quickly, I like your thinking though. Despite our tough times of late I have many pleasant memories provided by my footy club.
  6. Jack Leith was named one of our 150 heros in 2008, he played at CHF in the 1900 GF, was named one of our best and kicked one of the four goals scored. Originally from Geelong, he played for Carlton in the VFA before crossing to Melbourne in 1896. He played 133 games, kicked 162 goals for MFC and was regarded as the games most brilliant forward of the time. That's all I'm able to remember.
  7. John G Leith. Drawn game round 7 1901 at Brunswick St Oval. Melbourne 5.6.36 Fitzroy 5.6.36
  8. With you there bush demon, I watched a good deal of his footy in the early to mid eighties and considered Chris a classy utility either forward or back. He finished 4th in the Bluey in 1986 after playing only 12 games. He also finished high in the voting in '84 & '85. He injured both knees which prematurely ended what promised as a great career. Connolly would have walked into any MFC's starting line up in any year since his retirement IMO.
  9. I have been following the club since 1952 and have accumulated many books footy records and season guides etc. I refer to these frequently as memory does fade post the golden years Not sure if google is in the spirit of the quiz however I am betting that many use it so I suggest you go for it. If not for any other reason than to broaden your knowledge about this great club we follow. No joshing.
  10. Thanks for the encouragement. I tend to get a bit down on myself, used to do it on the footy ground, and elsewhere if something didnt work out perfectly. The diversion lead me to this idea. I am sure someone could do it better. This was just meant to be a filler heading into the ND. Its 2013 we are still going. Its a bit of fun, also taxing on the mind and time doing this clues. Bound to be the odd slipup. You are doing a seriously good job. I'll start with the back pocket 1948 GF - Billy Deans.
  11. Sorry, didn't read the 2 posts prior to mine so was not rubbing it in so to speak.
  12. 'This game stinks or should I say well done stingrays' Hate to be a pedant Deevoted however If KT had averaged 3+ goals per game he would have managed 102+ would he not ? Please keep the clues factual Just joshing.
  13. 'any other related member of the family, next of kin?, neighbours, who are also experts in other fields, that you would like to share? Just thought I'd pass it by you,so I can keep it in mind for future reference' . Nothing other than the blackboard out the front and the family conference calls
  14. Ironically wandflower had nothing to do with Deevoted's line of thinking and if he hadn't mentioned ballet, I wouldn't have guessed Flower and connected the RF communication bit. Guess I'll put that one down to sheer @rse.
  15. A combination of RF signal and wandflower - my wife knows a little about ballet and deserves the points. My first thought was to check Steven Smith's middle name thinking if it was Michael then we would have SMS. Not to be.
