Mono there was nothing wrong with his leg the week before with similar results. I have watched everyone of his games except the saints game. He has no presence. The other team can play their third best defender on him because they know he won't hurt them. To play him yesterday has the key forward was not his fault it was the FD. imo the blunder of 2017 so far.

As you say FD Jack is not blessed with great ability/ skill. He is a a hard at it type who triesto make up for his lack of quality with endeavour. However that can only take you so far. IMO he is at his top now. JV is a good average player he will never be a Fyfe. Valuable but never more than we see now.

Macca do you remember our list just three short years ago? We have come along way since then. We are no longer a VFL team making up the numbers. We are a mid list outfit That has IMO one top class player believe it or not his name is J Watts. We then have a number of good players but still a lot of average players. With an ounce of luck we can finish the year around the 8th to 10th mark. However we are still 2 -3 seasons away from having a list to run deep in September. WE have no CHF or CHB and we desperately need a match winner. Freo had 3 yesterday. However the positive is we have a number of kids who will improve and we have the next couple of draft periods to get a CHB and CHF. Until then we are going to have a number of days like yesterday. Not sure my old body can take it but what choice do I have.

50 years of experience has taught them not expect much bandicoot. And again their fears were realised.

Losing a game like that Nasher is not easy to take especialy when it was so obvious what would happen in our forward line. So dont expect much reasoned comment.

Smith would not have missed that goal and would have at least provided someone for Freo to worry about. Smiths disposals were 50% better and included a goal. No 26 should be that good. But the bit that pisses me the most is it was as predictable as the sun rising.

I would suggest VP that is impossible to imagine Smith playing worse.

We did not lose the game because of Gawn's absence. We lost it at the section table when we picked a kid who is not up to AFL. Smith in and we win that game.It is that simple.
