While I'm not overly enthused about team selection, I reckon we'll win. In fact, I'm going to put a modest amount of my no longer hard earned on the Dees. Well ... we just have to win ,to stay in the main game and make something of our season. Looking at the latest membership figures gives a sense of urgency to finishing this season strongly. We need to make the finals at the very least to start undoing the damage of 2019 and our poor start to this ****ty season. Given the bizarre nature of the season, I could sort of understand the changes. That is until I read on the Melb website that Jackson " will be taking the number 1 ruck duties" !!!!! That is crazy! Goldy will be too strong and too experienced for him. I can't see it doing any good for his confidence or his body. I assumed Tmac would ruck against Goldy and aim to at least nullify his hit outs and then we rely on our strong mids. WTF is Pruess by the way I don't get it.

This week one of our players was done over for a sling tackle. The AFL rabbits on about player safety, equality, fairness, sexual harassment , racial vilification etc. Now we have a big brand name - Richmond, splashed around in the media, for what could be described ( at best) as gross year 8 schoolyard behaviour . Is this the look the AFL wants? I'm guessing not! What penalties will be imposed on those who have breached the very behaviours the AFL has committed to stamp out? Over to you Gil.

At the moment TMac can barely run at all. His form is poor but I suspect there an underlying medical/injury issue. It's more than form when you turn from an elite athlete to a plodding draughthorse.

It is very difficult to even speculate on selection because not only are we unsure who is actually injured but we have no Casey form nor even training reports to go on to consider replacements. However, if those are indeed the outs big red, then I reckon your suggested replacements are reasonable. Of course Pruess has no match fitness but I would prefer him to the totally out of form Tmac or putting extra pressure on Weed or Jackson. I hope that is all the changes. As you say there maybe doubt over Vanders but I hope not. I wouldn't be resting Bennell unless there were good medical reasons - he needs to play himself into form.

Absolutely SWYL ! I posted elsewhere that is was some of the worst umpiring I’ve ever seen Umpiring seems to have been getting poorer every year. I don’t know why this is. It’s puzzling to say the least We have a complex set of Rules yet we want the game to flow. Those two things are at odds. If you pay every free kick it [censored] up the game but if you start picking and choosing then unfairness and inconsistency comes in As you know it can be bloody frustrating to watch !!!
