Leave Jamar in the Ruck bring Bate back in this week then have Miller up forward pinch hitting in the ruck against Hawkins when he gives Blake a break. Miller v Hawkins in the ruck to me would be a fairly even match up. Rather than having an extra ruckman keeping the fleet footed brothers in the side might worry the cats a little. Their backline is quite big and they dont have many quick runners in the back half which Carlton showed them up for. Our worry this week is the level of energy that was drained in the humidity on Saturday night, we need as many runners in the team as possible to give us the leg speed to challenge the Cats. I dont think an extra ruckmen is as important as having players that can contribute to running the game out! Go Demons

i agree with Moloney taking it on for a couple of years before handing to one of our developing stars! Heard an amazing story about him. For every new draftee to the club Beamer provides them with an info pack on the history of the MFC. Books and a few other things, the boys are then told to go away study it and come back and tell the team what is means to be a part of this great club. What a great way to teach these boys what it means to be part of MFC!

After listening to the radio all week before Anzac Day we got hammered by Nathan Buckley selling and Anzac Day 3 Match Membership for $150 which included premium reserve setting for the Anzac Match and two othe games. I thought what a good way to attract new members to the club. Why wouldnt Melbourne copy the idea. A Queens Birthday Premium Reserve Seat and 2 other games membership. Pay between $100 - $120. I would think the game will have a bumper crowd (75,000-80,000)especially with the improvement the boys have shown this year and them stealing the win in Round 2(i'm still filthy on that one!). This would then encourage supporters to come to a couple of more games throughout the year. With the exciting brand of footy the team is now playing it would have to motivate them to take out a full membership the following year as we continue to rise up the ladder! Lets hope the club are already planning this! Go Demons!

I wouldnt be too worried about Freo both his brothers are in Victoria and the parents have moved over here as well to live. Speaking to a friend who is quite close with the family since they moved here Cale is really enjoying it at Melbourne and wants to be a one club player, no interest in moving, i actually ran into him at a golf day at the start of the year, once he knew i was a melbourne supporter he apologizes for the last couple of years and told me there are exciting times ahead. Top quality bloke he is even after the golf day they had presentations, lunch etc. and as he was leaving he went out of his way to come up and say good bye. Cant wait till he is back in the side!

We are not on free to air this week, Stkilda v Port are on ten, once again we get screwed over, pretty hard to attract new sponsors and supporters when all our games get shown on foxtel, maybe if we can continuing winning we might get rewarded with more games on free to air next year!

I consider this a bit of a danger game, hope the boys can get themselves up, when you look at the Tiges supporter sites they are talking this game up like a mini grand final for them, and interesting point was that they are talking up that Newman might not play, whilst i dont really rate him that highly they are screaming out for senior leadership on the ground and having their captain missing could really hurt them, heres hoping!

I agree with alot of your points 2014-Flag however i disagree with the scully/jones comparsion. I thought the foxtel coverage was very biased didnt realize we were out there half the time especially Jakovich talking up Freo all night but they did get one point right about Scully. He was thinking too far ahead and was waiting for his teammates to catch up. They mentioned this when he got caught on the outer wing, i can't remember who the first player was but whoever it was that ran past him for the handball had a freo opponent hot on his heels and Scully was smart enough not to put his team mate under pressure so he held onto it. However no other team mate stepped up to receive the handball. When they showed the replay from another angle our nearest player was the captain 10-15 metres away and standing still. Too slow to react! Why he was running past for a 2nd option i dont know? Junior trys his heart out but i am beginning to believe that he may not be in our best 22 later in the year. Time will tell

I heard that tapscott returned to Adelaide for some reason, not sure if it was injury related or for personal reasons.
