I also think Lyon should play. I'd be interested to know who the next batting cab off the rank is; while they may not appear superstars, there are a few guys in good form right now. It's more than could be said previously, so it's something.

I agree with your 'general rule' on rucks; I've advocated for picking rucks as rookies/late picks (and trading for them if needed). I think I created a thread or post with a list of all the AFL rucks and their path to their team's list; the majority were late picks and rookie draft picks. In addition to the time it takes to develop these young talls, the chance to have a failure drafting a ruck is also higher than, say, a mid. Done. Hussey was 30 when he started, so debuting Doolan at 28 is not necessarily a short-term fix. Bailey has been an excellent ODI find for us but his first-class record is nowhere near as good. If he plays, I'll be interested to see how he performs in Tests. He might be one of thsoe guys who steps up when they play at a higher level.

IIRC the ads are provided via Google; parties do not buy advertising directly via Demonland and nor does Demonland handpick advertisers. I imagine you don't see Greens ads because they have limited funds and don't feel they'll get bang for buck.

I think the club needs a candidate who has already had some success at senior level; given how bad we've been under the last two reigns, you need that to sell hope and weather criticism as we begin the slow ascent up the ladder. I'd say this is why PJ has asserted we need an experienced candidate.

I was frustrated by Davey's recent seasons (I bet he was too), but overall I've really enjoyed watching him play and will remember him as an exciting, skillful player who gave me more reason than most to cheer.

Glad to hear. JoelMac was never the best player going around but I preferred him playing over other blokes because I knew he had an appetite for the contest.
