  1. this would actually be ok with me. Pick 9 and 11! That would be Talia (replace rivers) Butcher/Panos, key forward Everitt is pretty good for pick 18 and westhoff can play ruck, 199cm
  2. Pick 11 = Talia or Panos I'm leaning towards Talia
  3. what people don't realize is that this will hurt carlton in the long term. They were probably going to use pick 11 on a tall forward. Fev is getting old. The up coming compromised drafts will make it even harder for them to secure a key forward. I don't really see how this is a good move by them. They already have one of the best up and coming midfield's in the comp. They don't need Mclean. I see Kruzer as a ruckman, not a Key forward. so i don't know what they are going to do once Fev is gone. I don;t see why people are so upset about Brock leaving anyway. He wasn't going to be one of our starting midfielders in the next few years anyway and i think he knew that. Pick 11 is a good result as now we can secure another quality tall, the last piece of the puzzle.
  4. 1. Scully = certain star 2. Trengove = certain star (would be ok if we took Martin or Rohan) 11. Talia = AA CHB, can play forward 18. who cares, maybe use as part of a trade
  5. Davey won't go anywhere. We have a good Aboriginal culture at the club. Even if worse comes to worse and he does want to play with his brother, we will get the bombers first pick for him, number 10. That would be just, wow 1 2 10 11 18 wow. but it won't happen
  6. Brock was a good player but was never going to be a star. I think he actually did us a favour because Brock, Jones and Moloney were not going to fit into a team with grimes, blease, strauss, bennell, sylvia, morton, scully and probably trengove/martin coming into it. 1 of those 3 had to go and i'm actually happy it was Brocky. Jones is a better player and Moloney grew up barracking for the dees so he isn't going anywhere. Brock has done us a favor because now we can get a quality tall with pick 11. Rebuild complete. 1 = Scully 2 = Trengove/Martin/Rohan 11 = Talia or maybe Butcher will slide but i would prefer Talia
  7. if this trade can land us Talia then i'm all for it
  8. if this does indeed happen and MFC trade for more first rounds picks, i think it will effect who we take a pick 2. Imagine Scully and maybe Rohan at pick 1 and 2 then if we have say pick 11 we could easily get Talia or maybe even Butcher if he slides that far, as some people are saying may very well happen. At first i hated the idea of losing Brocky but the more i think about it, the better it sounds. Jones and Moloney are our best clearence players anyway and having Scully, Blease, Strauss, Davey, Morton, Bennell, Grimes, Sylvia and one of Rohan/Trengove/Martin feeding of their work at the bottom of packs would be amazing. Could anyone really fit Mclean, Jones and Moloney into the same team? I don't think so.
  9. if this actually happening, this might mean something. http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=635669 "we will have more first round picks" i hope it's not true. i love Brocky but if it does happen we better get a 10 year player with pick 11! and who is this other star? It better be someone older and not one of our young guns! Bruce? Green?
  10. He was drafted to the club as a forward but had a breakout year last year as a backman. Where does he fit in for the future? does he fit into a backline with warnock, frawley and rivers? could he be the answer to our forward line worries? I think a forward line that looks like this: Bate Watts Sylvia Jurrah Garland Aussie would be very potent. what do we think?
  11. watching players live shows you there work rate and ability to run, not how good their skills are
  12. What clips were you watching? He just grabs the ball and kicks long to no real advantage of his team mates most of the time. have not once seen him hit a leading target or even put the ball in the advantage of a team mate. look away handballs that miss the target and selfish play that cost his team a goal. Trengove all the way!
  13. we need certain stars with picks 1 and 2. not a project player. I don;t understand the argument that players are still learning the game at 18 years old. sure they need to learn game plans and the pace of league footy but if they can't kick by now or don't have a natural ability to read the game or know where to kick or how to kick to advantage by now i don't think they will ever be able to.
  14. God i hope MFC takes Trengove with pick 2. Morabito's decision making, kicking and even his hand passing is very questionable. He hardly hit a target by foot or hand and in several situations made just awful decisions with the ball. He has speed and strength but i think is half the player Trengove is... Gary Rohan and Dustin Martin are way in front of Morabito in my eyes, still he looks better than Butcher. I think Butcher will be a big slider this year. Last weekend he was pretty bad. very one dimensional
  15. what about not of those 3? anyone else in mind that may still be there?
  16. He may slide, but i don't think MFC will draft him. he is a small mid/forward. We don't need anymore, we need KPP
  17. i actually think that the club is pretty well off in the potential leaders area once Macca is gone. I think Green and Bruce are too old and our next captain should be one of the kids from the new generation and should be a long term captain, 8 to 10 years. out of all the kids who will one-day be either captain or in the leadership group we have, Grimes Watts Frawley Morton and most likely, Scully (Vic Metro Captain) Trengove (S.A Captain) Not too mention, Mclean Sylvia (has turned a corner) Moloney Davey Warnock (defensive general) My favorites for Captain are Grimes or Frawley, can't split them.
  18. I'm not worried about Trengove needing another south australian to stop him leaving. Apparently his dad lives in melbourne. i just hope that Luke Tapscott gets drafted to Victoria. they are best mates
  19. yea, goo to hear that it's down to only Trengove or Morabito. i would much rather Trengove, he is just pure class. From the clips i have seen of Morabito he is strong, quick and has a good pair of hands. If he grows a little more he may be a good KPP but i dont think his field passing is up to scratch or even his decision making. The Scully, Trengove combo would give us an elite midfield for the next decade. plus don't forget we will add more through Viney in a couple of years
  20. could he play forward? or would he allow Garland to go forward? i think there is only a slight chance that he will be there at pick 18 anyway, so he's probably not in MFC sights, but it would be great to snatch him
