He reminds me of a Sammy Mitchell but quicker
  2. One thing I'll say about our recruiting strategy with the first two picks ,is that we pick the ones most likely to succeed rather than recruit on a hunch or a "could develop into something " ,as I don't believe we can afford to take a gamble. Save that for the later picks.
  3. Actually reminds me a helluva lot like Jordie Mckenzie in the way he moves.
  4. Ha ha this is a beauty, he happens to be the boyfriend of one of my daughter's best mates. Seen him play basketball quite a few times and he has won best a couple of best and fairest with one of our local footy clubs. He is lightning quick for his size and has a huge leap on him, top kid too.

We have a lot of one paced mids, but we don't have many with a bit of zip and pace around the packs. We got Melksham to be a runner off half back and Kennedy to add a bit of Brent Harvey like pace around the stoppages, and Parish just gives us another of that type. It's all about balance and options, as well as pressure for spots. We seem to have the grunt in Jones, Viney, Vandenberg etc, big bodied power in Brayshaw and Petracca, Skill with Salem and Vince, but we need pace and run.
  6. Big Fish could be someone out of left field like a Tom Mitchell,Hannebrry,Josh Kennedy. Or maybe it is some from like a Bennell, Omeara or Prestia. Got a gut feeling it is some one North of the border though, either a Swan, Giant, Sun or Lion.
  7. It just shows that we really shouldn't be listening to any of the media noise untill a deal is done.
  8. You think we should get rid of Fitzy and Spencer with Jamar already gone?Every list has players that are needed for back up and depth who aren't quite first 18 ,and might need a year or two of development.
  9. $320k a year over 3 years , and get him in the pre season draft,or third round pick, otherwise forget it.
  10. Thought Fitzy was a bit stiff
  11. One things for sure, I'd rather keep Jeremy Howe and pay him overs than pay someone like Melksham overs.
  12. Howe is a better player than Melksham and our first pick will probably be a better player than Melksham.
  13. Denham just said the Bummers want our first pick and Howe for Melksham. Also said Watts ,Toumpas and Dawes are on the trade table
  14. I don't think we need to do too much. If we can pick up Shiel, Treloar,Dangerfield and Prestia in a complex five way deal using Matt Jones as bait, we should be right.
  15. Can we call the Freo guy Fyfeberg?
  16. Look forward to seeing him again in age of Ultron.
  17. He has arrived....confidence growing each game...Carey like.
  18. Vanders just looks like he is the complete package.....big body, knows how to find the footy, hurts the opposition, kicks goals, great Mark, and good tackler. We've got another like this possibly even better in Petracca , so Future looks good and I love the big bodied team mentality.

Don t worry about Toumpas , Olly Wines is better than Jack Viney by a mile as well.
  20. I'm supporting Jabberwocky on this, too many on this site have that pathetic holier than though attitude. We are all fellow demon supporters, some peoples efforts to sound superior only drags them down to school yard level.
  21. Petracca is a big lump of a lad who is also a very good contested mark, wouldn't be surprised to see him playing at Centre half forward in the future, working into the midfield, kinda like our main go to player when Brayshaw , Viney, Jones, or Tyson extracts it from the centre. With Hogan at full forward we would be pretty hard to stop.
  22. If we get Petracca and Brayshaw, then I think we should go for a marking tall forward and then a speedy outside player, and we will be balanced out nicely.
  23. Another thing I like about Petracca is that he also plays forward and is a big boy, this means he can develop in the forward line and snag a few goals for us with stints in the midfield as he develops, so if we lose out on mcCartin we still get some one who can cause some havoc in the forward 50 along side Hogan.
  24. What I really like about him is that the lad seems to have a bit of gumption about him. Morning news now saying that McCartin is the new favourite to be taken at Number one.
