You'd think they would be so hungry for wins they would put in a bit more effort and not get ahead of themselves as they have done against GWS and Port.

It's not the forward line or the backline. It's the midfield pure and simple, we lack run, and concentration for four quarters . We are desperate for an A grader or two.

I don't get it,don't they want it? They play like they they don't want to bring the effort every week, or even every quarter . One big effort every six weeks or so isn't good enough, we are sick and tired of this year after year. Last week means absolutely nothing if they can't back it up. All we want is a team that brings consistent effort every week, so we can enjoy going to the footy again. I fear it won't happen untill we get a year or two out of Petracca and Brayshaw and recruit a decent ready made mid. Too many B and C graders.

I don't think we need to do too much. If we can pick up Shiel, Treloar,Dangerfield and Prestia in a complex five way deal using Matt Jones as bait, we should be right.

Proof is in the pudding....you have to go on current form, not what someone did a couple of years ago.

Can't see who they would drop for Dawes. Pederson , Hogan and Howe are better Marks of the ball and more dangerous. Dawes seems to work hard but doesn't seem to get a result. Hope they don't sacrifice Fitzy for him as he was terrific tonight down back.

We look a lot more dangerous with Howe up forward, as he must be a nightmare match up for the opposition. At one stage I saw the Bulldogs trying to stop Howes run and had two on Hogan which left Pederson free to run in a goal. I think the forward line was perfectly balanced tonight with Howe, Hogan, Pederson and Garlett always looking a threat. No sure where Dawes fits in as when he doesn't clunk them the opposition can easily run the ball away, whereas Howe, Pederson and Hogan are all in excellent marking form.

I wouldn't be so smug about Carlton, they are last on the table of pressure acts in the competition, but guess who is second last?

Needs to be dropped as a warning to pick up his game, and find some form. If it's good enough for Grimes and Watts it's good enough for Dawes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, why the hell does Roos always play Dunn on the tallest forward ? Last week it was Tippett, this week Hale. Costs us easy gols every week.

Sadly I don't think Toumpas will ever make it, runs like his ankles are tied together.

I'd feel more confident if Max Gawn or Fitzpatrick played that position , and that's sayin something. At least they might kick a goal or two.

Geez we are desperate for success if we have to bring these things up aren't we?

The turnover kings get their pants pulled down once again. Team of plodders....apologies Garlett,McDonald and Pederson today. Dawes just doesn't do anything, I'd rather Watts than him anyway and leave Pederson in. Howe looks so disinterested it's not funny, he has to be gone end of year. Toumpas, MJones, Michie,and the rest of our mids are just plodders really,no A grade talent in there which is our main problem. Petracca and Brayshaw could be our future mids but we also need some speed on the outside, Garlett can't play everywhere. All in all still a bottom 4 side.

What annoys me us that Roos constantly puts Dunn on the oppositions second most dangerous forward no matter how tall he is. We really lack another tall key defender, cost us four goals tonight, and we will always suffer because of Dunns lack of height,although he try's hard, sometimes he is just too short. You watch, when we play Geelong for example, TMac will get Hawkins and Dunn will get Clarke who will easily out Mark him.
