  1. It's already ugly just hasn't translated to the scoreboard yet but give it 5 more minutes.
  2. We're lucky not to be down by 10 goals already. Bombing it down the line with no ruckman isn't working, need to run and overlap to break through their zone. Winning a clearance or 2 would be a good idea as well.
  3. King has been terrible, single handedly costing them the game.
  4. Yes I do if the AFL is serious about protecting the head. His tackle was dangerous in that he launched at Taranto dropping his full bodyweight down due to having no contact with the ground. He also had both Tarantos arms pinned. In the new environment that should be a suspension as Taranto ended with a concussion. Great effort by Bedford but he breached his duty of care to Taranto in the way that he tackled and should have been suspended. 3 weeks probably too much but at least 1 week. Cameron the same, he drive him backwards he could have held Duggan up in the tackle or turned him sideways. Duggan's head was unprotected and he had both arms pinned with Cameron driving him backwards and so unable to protect himself. Suspension every day of the week.
  5. Stupid idea, like the "night GF" and other brain farts the AFL and their compliant media roll it out whenever it's a slow news day or, in this instance, when they want discussion diverted from how poorly the game is being administered/umpired.
  6. What a joke these appeals are, the AFL is a three ring circus. The AFL.com article states "Whilst we accept that the Tribunal found the conduct to be unreasonable, which is one element of the offence, it completely failed to consider the second critical element of the offence: that is, whether the conduct was likely to cause injury. "Absent that consideration ... we consider that the Tribunal did fall into an error of law that had a material impact on its decision." The conduct DID cause injury, so why are they arguing the tribunal didn't consider whether it was likely to cause injury? It stands to reason that there was a likelihood it would occur, because it did occur. These clowns just make it up as they go, can't wait til they get sued into oblivion by the players who have suffered long term health issues due to concussion.
  7. Cost them the minor premiership and possibly the premiership too. Great day at the footy, the only time I went to Vic Park for a real game (saw a praccy there once).
  8. Find a way to tank for a priority pick so we can get both?
  9. He is in the San Diego (now LA) Chargers hall of fame as a punter. Paved the way for the likes of Sav Rocca (Philly Eagles) and Ben Graham (NY Jets).
  10. Love both those albums, Endtroducing could play on repeat for hours
  11. I love Salem but I think relying on him to play a critical role moving forward is fraught with danger.
  12. My favourite Demon of all time, nothing excited me more than going to the footy to watch Jako. The Wiz the only other one in the same league.
  13. They need to just scrap ALL academies, they are a hindrance to a fair and equitable competition.
  14. Oh FFS spare me, are they for real?
  15. It's mornings like this I'm glad I live in the northwest suburbs 🤣
  16. What a turnaround from 24 years ago.
  17. Kolt was very good again, providing an option and banging the ball forward at all costs in the slippery conditions. Rained pretty heavily just before the first bounce and for parts of the first and 2nd quarters. A bit of rain in the 2nd half but not as heavy.
  18. It was a great team performance and great coaching, but Petty was terrible. I don't think that's a controversial take. He was mosntered in the 1st quarter and only when JVR went to 1st ruck in 2nd quarter did we start to really get on top in the middle. Even then Petty didn't offer much as a forward target, rarely winning or halving the contest and letting his opponent win the ball. He had 3 kicks and 3 handballs. The team were very impressive and I've praised them in multiple posts, it's ok to be critical as well if other parts of the game which weren't as good, especially when it is not a one off and it is not just being negative for negatives sake. It's part of the discussion.
  19. https://discourse.bomberblitz.com/t/review-vs-dees/32912 That website is horrendous but the schadenfreude is worth 5-10 minutes of scrolling
  20. Great to get a win for Kozzie's 100th and glad he was able to hit the scoreboard. He had really gained some consistency this year which is due to him spending more time in the middle. He doesn't need to be the matchwinner every week, just needs to play his role and then take the chances when they come like the last 2 weeks. Crazy to think he's still only 22/23.
  21. He's too weak in the contest, really struggles to hold his ground and at least break even in 1:1s. If he gets a good run at the footy he's good but even then his marking isn't elite. Needs to at least halve the contest around the ground but is ineffectual way too often and looks to the umpire for frees when he has just been outmuscled.
  22. "Who was that to??"
  23. Carlton lost as well 😍
