  1. D's v Roos Hibberd, OMc, Frost Wagner, Lever, Hunt Lewis, Petracca, Jones Melksham, Pedersen, Harmes Fritsch, Hogan, Garlett Gawn Oliver Neal-Bullen Int: Tyson Bugg Salem Jetta Emg: Stretch,
  2. is Wagner a 'run-with' possibility, dimmy?
  3. So you think we are somewhere between 12th & 8th ? Mr D-9 ? Again its not about this game GCDee; but rather about seeing Real Progress. Instead of the same old feebleness game after game, season on season, from the RednBlue.
  4. Done a B,.,.,..,,, or did everyone here underestimate how good he could become? thats not bradb.,.,. that is development. We don't gift games any longer. If we want to become ruthless, we have to act on the training track & at selection meetings. If he's dew an early morning wake-up call, so be it. Let him kick the dew drops off the grass down at Casey. Might freshen him up a bit. I'm not so sure about that one Sigs. We gave up too much for Lever. Time will tell just how much it has cost? ^ ^ ^
  5. ruthless has to start inside the clubs leadership, from the coaches, selectors, to the co-captains. see hodge... captains have to make sure the players are doing their all,,, or they can go back to the VFL. ruthless has to begin NOW.
  6. Give him time, he's doing some good things, and we need variation in the middle. we can't have all vineys, jones's, petracca's, tyspon's, maynards & lewis's, only in our mid setup. Oli' aside, we need more variation in the setup. I think we have to allow Salem to get more time thru the middle, as well as Hogan. Hannan, and eventually Fritta, once hes got 20+ games under his kilt. Time will unearth some gems we didn't expect, in the centre square for us, we just gotta keep diggin it. they'll turn up.
  7. I'm sure that had an effect the short week for us & the humidity. May have made a us a tad lazy once we had the solid lead. But this is still really unacceptable, to allow ourselves to drop intensity like it sounded. I know the lions lifted, but that's not easy to do If we had of kept our intensity up on them. This is still the old melbourne trait. s.o.f.t. Winning is not a strong enough enough motivation to keep the pedal to the metal. I don't know why that is, but it is. - genuine 'A' graders... where are they.
  8. We need Frost next week, so Omac can take Brown, Frost to Waite. Lever chipping in. But the biggest job will be done by our mids, defensively; and the half forwards.
  9. Maybe he has one hand on them, most of the time?
  10. No your not, by a long way. But where we came from (D's) is also relative, talking 50/60's. Many here were tantalized by stories of this great club, back then, and were then tormented by a lifetime of disappointment. So truth is if you haven't experienc3ed it then you really don't know the full storyline of emotional hurt. Us oldies should relate in some way, with the aboriginal storylines of the past 200 + years.
  11. We, fire our season up. and the boys get a kickalong.
  12. These days, half of Tassie's population are Banana benders. That state might end up as 'rugby-central', as climate change takes a big hole.
  13. Not yet, He's just got himself back into running outside this week, I think, first in a long time. He's had a stress fracture of the Heel. Not normally a career-ender, IMO. https://www.physioadvisor.com.au/injuries/foot/calcaneus-fracture/ Koby Stevens had this as well back in July 2015, whilst at the Bulldogs.
  14. Thanks Voges for the reports. enjoyable reading. Its always good to get others insights, especially when I can't get to games.
  15. I watched about 10 Mins and went back to Computer.. The saints were not getting any numbers to the ball. Total lacking of effort in the part I saw. It was disappointing and boring. Then the adds, I did have the TV on in the background (listening) as I played games on Computer. I had mans best friend by my side, the trusty Re-Mote, eventually changed channel.
  16. you must be right, the Storm'rs go on these camps, & they are getting torched tonight, at shark park. So I guess that what you say re the Crows and Tiges, combined with the Storm getting blown away, must prove your point then.
  17. ... thats good, but being good-enough, isn't enough. He has to show it, to prove it, before he gets the game. The D's 2018, do not gift games, to ANYone. That's a bygone era of kindness, that reaped a lot of failures. Kindness does not belong on the arena of battle; during the game.
  18. What a ripping kick from young Long to Jed Anderson.
