whaaat? I guess your talking about Spargo? Getting dropped is common, for sure he would, I expect, go through what most players go through when starting out. I'm not implying anything about Spargo, at all. Other than, I like the boy. No, my comments have all been about Jeffy, and his efforts. Garlett has to lift his game; he doesn't have to kick goals every game, but he has to contribute, to tackle, to chase, harass, and generally be a thorn in opposition defenders arzes.
  2. ... you really shouldn't show his phone number Jack. ?
  3. Fierce Fight Foe Fun Smell the blue-blood o' the Carton man, Be alive, or be he dead, I'll grind his bones, to make my bread.
  4. I think the Selectors & Goody are still playing/experimenting with the best 22. Looking for our best balanced lineup. I reckon Pedo will get his chance soon, with many big games coming to meet us.

I totally agree that Jeffy is fantastic, when he's 'ON' song. But when he drops his bundle he drags the side and others with him. Its hard enough being beaten against a inform side, but if you let your body language and efforts deteriorate, it's selfish, as a player. It signals to others that may follow the lead. Especially our young. And those off field as well, its a bad example to every part of the club. Lets hope Jeffy stops sulking and starts firing up.

But Garlett has been dropped and Spargo is still in the D's team... So what do you think your stats are not showing, for him to go back to Casey, RbG?
  8. Or wing I think its mind over matter for Buggy. He should be able to overcome that.
  9. He's not showing any signs yet of slowing down, I reckon.
  10. Tim smith had better play well, me thinks.
  11. I am totally optimistic in our team Faulty, but want us all to remain vigilant Re the clubs direction. The Achilles Heal of this club is when we all become cosy. Too comfortable, and we raise our eyes to look further up the road. We start to wander across the bitumen we are traveling on and come unstuck. We are our own nightmare. Too easily satisfied..
  12. I'll pay that one Jack, 2 out of 8 for that one.

Out of form does not restrict a player from Effort. When the ball isn't on a string for you, then go at it harder, and chase harder, tackle harder, to make up for loss of skills. When these go missing (Effort), that is the sign of front runner. Loss of confidence is NO excuse for a drop in effort. It sounds to me your an apologist for your favorite players.
  14. How long have you been around. Being bullied is a comment about not taking on the big challenges. Giving up in the thought processes when imagining challenging the big boys. It is a mental state where Melbourne Boards and Administrators continually allow themselves to sit back down, and shut the F()@# up. It has hurt us over the decades, more than we even obviously know. As far as your comment that we are not Bullied,,, we gave up on the challenge last year Re Lever, and paid the Crows over the odds, to get it done, in haste. A 1st Rnd 2017 pick, a 1st Rnd 2018 pick, and a 2018 4th Rnd pick. We paid too highly. A 2018 1st & 3rd Rnd picks, should have done the job. We have been bullied for decades, by other clubs, and by the AFL. So your assertions of future this and that's, should be taken with a truckload of salt. We need years of Wins off the field,,, to believe in our boards and admins once again. Because our bullied bruises show a different picture of this club over the years. The fact we are still basically homeless, shows we lack courage and endeavor to get things done to our needs,,, when the Pies have virtually shifted into our lounge room,,, from up the road.

He is currently being overtaken, by young players who work hard in all weather.

That is the epitome of a front-runner. When down he goes missing totally, instead of crashing in and busting a gut. When out of form, you do not lose the ability to work harder, even if the ball isn't bouncing for you. This is pure desperation to work your way back into it. front runners give up on the work ethic. see wattshisface.
  17. because we need his skills and his maturity leadership because of the age. His skill sets are both inside and outside, so he gives us just what we lack. He can play starting mid or on the wing with great skill and smarts. He compliments our inside grunt. In around 2 tears time we will have lost a big chunk of maturity and real leadership. Both Lewis and Vince will have gone, and Chunk Jones if not gone, will be on last legs. After that group, we lack some Real leadership until we get to our current 24Yr olds age bracket. So IMO we can afford Sloane, as he would be most likely, only a 4 Yr term, on good money. We can structure it to suit our time-frame. Now Gaff we would likely have for a longer term, and this would compete financially with our other young guns arising, in time-frame for contract money. I want both, and i'm sure a bit of contract wizardry could make that happen. IMO, we lack more than one topshelf running mid. Now if we had Gaff, we may not need ANB? If we had Sloane, we wouldn't need Tyson. The re are other mid type players on the list, who aren't doing much, playing down at Casey.
  18. I can't wait til he plays again, against Richmond. I want to see Rance pushing back with the flight of the ball & bull coming out from the goalsquare. crrrunchy granola.
  19. I agree Dmia56, he's become a real Team man. matured and does his bit. I think he has another level yet. When he finally hits his zone, he'll tear some team apart.
  20. ... classy, that's Fritz, surely. can't think of many others, I'd call classy. ah, Oli.
