Byron Pickett and Stephen Tingay never played against one another.....
I don't want to derail the thread, but they played against each other twice in 1998, once during the year and in the prelim that year https://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/1998/111219980918.html.
Only times they would have before Stinga's retirement.

nah ... I'm pretty sure we hold that.
I think we even broke our own record
Would be nice to lose that record though
We were relieved of the honour in 2007:
Geelong 5.7 11.13 18.17 24.19 163 Sat 29-Sep-2007 2:30 PM Att: 97,302 Venue: M.C.G. Port Adelaide 2.2 4.3 5.5 6.8 44 Geelong won by 119 pts - 1

Surprises never cease- both Wagners are in.
Bench: Wagner 1, Wagner 2, ANB, Lockhart. That is a terrible, terrible bench. Can't believe Smith isn't in nor is Baker.
Bit tough on Dunkley to drop him after just one game.
Dunkley played 2 games. I can see playing C Wagner over Hannan but why Baker doesn't come in for ANB is the head scratcher.

Yet he's listed as 3 to 4 weeks away on the MFC website..
Who the [censored] runs the MFC website these day's..
According to https://www.melbournefc.com.au/club/people/staff-members, Ryan Larkin is the Department GM for Marketing, Communications and Digital and there would be a team below him who do most of the work. If you have a grievance, the list is there for all to see. Caitlin Nobes and Ben Gibson seem the most active in terms of the content on the Website.

Err, he is, same as Gus's
Yep, has been since he has been back
Visible at 2:00 mins in on this clip. Until he gets a clear run at it, they will need to monitor any head knock KK has to ensure the concussion effects don't re-occur.

Do we no longer get an “all the goals” compilation, brought to us by Haymes Paint? I will be sad if that’s no longer a thing, I loved looking out for it the day after a win.
I don’t even mind if someone other than Haymes Paint brings it to us.
It usually comes out Monday after a game. Must not be used to us having a game before the weekend. There's been a video for each of the first 3 games.

Former Demon champion, Steve Smith has finished his term as MCC President.
Michael Happell has taken over.
I have a feeling he's a Carlton supporter. This is regrettable.
I know it's not absolutely necessary, but surely it's desirable, that the MCC Pres has an affinity to the Demons.
This, in my opinion, shows the importance of MCC-member Demon supporters(of whom there are many), exercising their vote, where possible, in favour of Demon -connected candidates in committee elections.
I hope some Demonlander with more familiarity with Happell will correct me.

Only the finals
The full 2018 season is available but you have to do a bit of digging. I use the desktop version, so unsure of how to search in the app.

I'm too young for 87 prelim, so it's the 2004 Elimination final v Essendon for me. It had come off such a deflating 4 weeks after we were 1st after Round 18. I was sitting near the goals when Phil Read missed in the dying minutes to tie the match.
It wasn't just the margin but the talent we had in the team at the time (White, Neitz, Yze, Johnstone, Davey, Green Etc). Competing and beating the best but also prone to some bewildering losses to lower ranked teams.
2004 was a missed chance for the Demons in so many ways. It was also the last game we got to see Troy Broadbridge play, which in retrospect adds another layer of heartbreak.

Yes thats wrong. We were 79.5 points against including finals. Not sure how journos can be so clueless. There were 4 of them writing this article.
About to post the same. They must have confused our Points for v Points Against as we averaged 104.5 points for in the H&A season.
Quality off season journalism from afl.com.au as usual ?

wonder how many P3 people will go in the ballot .... there should be a little warning about your chances
People still play the lotteries. A $5 gamble is nothing in the scheme of things, especially if we win this week.

In the P2 Ballot. $5.00 to ticketek either way ?
Now we wait...
