    I'm worried

Hard to imagine him having that huge an impact on our list next year anyway, even if he was around. Clearly if the club had similar concerns he'd have been offered another contract. Nothing to see here - just another MFCSS case.
  3. It does. It's only the situation where Junior retires and nobody moves in to the veteran spot that means no spot is created. Basically if Junior goes and Green takes his spot, the spot Green had on the senior list becomes vacant.
  4. McNamara's been on the list for a year longer, that's probably the difference. Like many I suspect Strauss won't make it, but there's enough doubt either way that he's deserving of more time. McNamara's been on the list for three years and despite a bit of a purple patch last year, has never looked like getting close to the senior side. This year, in the year where things really should've come together for him based on his improvement last year, he's been nowhere near it. It's the textbook case of delisting, especially when spots on the list this year are extremely tight as it is.
  5. Yeah, that'd make him heavier than Rivers and Macdonald, doesn't sound right. MFC site his him at 91kg, but Footywire has him listed at 81kg.
  6. My expectations for the season have already been met. Unsure how that translates on to an A-D scale though.
  7. Does he do it all the time, or was he just doing it when the ball was wet (as Dappa said, to improve grip on the ball)? It could be that he was having difficulty at one point and someone assessing his technique identified that his problems related to the drop of the ball and suggested that as a solution. Interesting topic. Anyone following him on Twitter? Ask him!
  8. I'm totally unqualified to comment based on your criteria, but my guess would be that it's something as simple as that's how he is comfortable holding the ball. The most important thing is that both went through the big sticks!
  9. And who would that be? Name names.
  10. Who said, or even insinuated that it was fine?
  11. I've noticed that the umpiring is always worse when you lose... Spending the majority of the game in Hawthorn's half of the ground had nothing to do with the loss, of course.
  12. Just wondering - who's "everyone"? I don't see anyone getting their knickers in a twist except you.
  13. To be honest I probably jumped the gun a bit with my post - I posted it about 7 seconds after the final siren. Should've let the information digest a bit first. Not to worry.
  14. Disappointing result. Can't question the boys endeavour, but I reckon the result in the end is a fair reflection of where we're at: not quite there yet.
  15. That's too outrageous to be believable.
  16. "dutchy12" pretty much covered my opinion on that matter in that thread.
  17. Isn't "writing him off" synonymous the same thing as "wanting to get rid of him"?
  18. If you're not worshiping the ground a player is standing on, you're writing him off. It is that black and white. I thought everyone knew that.
  19. McLean and Johnson both in the Bullants side too. Nice.
  20. It's a joke - a deliberately mixed metaphor. Used around my workplace all the time actually.
  21. Before even opening this thread, I saw the title and thought immediately of the play in the OP. Absolute poetry in motion.
  22. OK, I'll nibble: - Who in this thread has dished anything out? - Who in this thread has not acknowledged Dunn's good form? All this thread goes to show me is that people are willing to make motherhood generalisations with nothing to back them up. And just to be clear, by "people", I mean yourself and Jerry.
  23. I prefer the term "Dunn skeptic" Seriously, can we quit it with the "Dunn hater" B.S. though? Many were questioning the worth of Dunn and rightly so given his output over the years, but that doesn't make people "haters". I doubt there's too many people who would not acknowledge the form he has been in recently, myself included.
