  1. Agreed. We'd have to prise him out of their cold, dead hands I think.
  2. I'm not sure if I should be +1ing or -1ing based on scoring conventions used in this thread, so I'll just say I agree with you! Wouldn't touch this guy with a barge pole.
  3. Thanks for the rant. Here's the Tom Scully thread next time you'd like to have another one.
  4. Under the circumstances I'd have expected the MFC to do the same. It's all very easy to say they "left him out to dry" now that he's been found not guilty - 20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  5. It's hilarious that I can not catch a single minute of the game, see the scoreboard and predict exactly what the response on Demonland will be.
  6. To be fair, we're pretty close to the bottom of the barrel. Given that Bartram and Evans withdrew from the squad for injury, everyone left at Casey is either nowhere near ready, or plays in a role that would upset the team balance. Not sure who else is really missing out, per se.
  7. I'd describe it more like turning around and running off like the ball was coming in his direction.
  8. Because there's no consequence for him being wrong. If I were rpfc I'd be telling you about how I recognise that tree...
  9. Is it that there were fewer instances, or is it that there were fewer reports of it? Skilton might not have a brain disease, but that's got nothing to do with anything really. You don't have to have been the best player to suffer these consequences, you just have to get hit in the head a lot.
  10. Wasn't correcting your opinion buddy, I was correcting your incorrect assertion of the facts. Thanks anyway.
  11. Do they really? Everyone knows that in footy you might get a bit hurt, but I doubt too many of the 6 year olds signing up for AusKick know that they're potentially signing themselves up for a lifetime of degenerative brain disease that might not actually catch up with them until they're in their 50s.
  12. Hyperbole. There's no doubt opinion on Jones as a player have been polarised, but to say that "very few people" are in his camp is complete garbage. A few months ago when I thought he was struggling, I remember being surprised at the amount of love he was getting in the POTY votes etc. FWIW right now I reckon he's currently playing the best footy in his career.
  13. Kick it forwards in to a 3 on 1 instead?
  14. Just because I've got nothing better to do: Vic Clint Bartram Matthew Bate Sam Blease Lucas Cook Robert Campbell Troy Davis Lynden Dunn Jack Fitzpatrick James Frawley Max Gawn Jack Grimes Jordan Gysberts Cameron Johnston Nathan Jones Addam Maric Stefan Martin Tom McDonald Jordie McKenzie Brent Moloney Michael Newton Daniel Nicholson Tom Scully James Strauss Colin Sylvia Matthew Warnock Jack Watts WA Jamie Bennell Michael Evans Neville Jetta Kelvin Lawrence Cale Morton SA Mark Jamar Tom McNamara Jared Rivers Luke Tapscott Jack Trengove Qld Rohan Bail Joel Macdonald Ricky Petterd Jake Spencer NT Aaron Davey Liam Jurrah Austin Wonaeamirri Tas Colin Garland Brad Green Jeremy Howe
  15. I think the potential upside outweighs the price we'd fetch at this point in his career.
  16. Exactly. The original question of "what's he got to do" got answered on Saturday night: "that".
  17. The realist in me says we'll lose the lot as we're worse sides than all of those other teams. The optimist in me thinks we'll pull a rabbit out of the hat at least once. Our best chance is Carlton at the 'G' I think.
  18. I'm still struggling to see what's achieved by finishing 8th this year. If it's West Coast or Carlton it doesn't matter - we'll come up against a side a class or two above where we are and we'll be given a lesson. Sure it'd be nice for our guys to at least experience a final, but I don't care one way or the other whether we park in at 9th or 10th or if we fall over the line and finish 8th.
  19. If it's okay to play games in Canberra in the middle of winter then it's definitely fine for Hobart. It rains more and gets much colder in our nation's capital. I'd be absolutely stoked if MFC played a game here from a purely selfish point of view!
  20. Not his best game by any stretch, but "better with out him" is massively overstating it. Extremely unfair.
  21. The Morton bashing is getting repetitive and tiresome. We get it. Morton's not popular on Demonland at the moment. Hurrah.
  22. The 'fallaway' is forgiveable in the conditions.
  23. We just explained it clearly to you - it's because he's gone. Don't you get it?
