  1. Hah, you might give yourself a bit more credibility if you didn't resort to wild hyperbole. He isn't even amongst the worst that took to the field yesterday. There are some seriously pox players in our side at present.
  2. Thank heavens we're in the position we're in now instead.
  3. I am absolutely bored stiff. Too much emotional fatigue to be upset about this. Take away both the emotion and excitement from sport and there is absolutely nothing left to keep me watching other than feeling like I should.
  4. You are entitled to speak for yourself only. Anyway I doubt you will read this response, because you'll subscribe to the "if the topic doesn't interest you, you won't open the thread" mantra won't you?
  5. Zero weeks where I feel like watching the football is some cruel form of torture.
  6. Haha, yeah, reckon the Dogs would be scrambling to offload their best young player.
  7. The idea of the Board reviewing its own performance is ridiculous, and shows in the executive summary. I particularly liked this bit: Jeez, thank goodness we had you guys there to manage us, since the CEO you hired and then extended couldn't. It was critical that the Board acted as a Board and let management manage in 2008, it isn't a new thing now.
  8. Why's that? I thought there was a mandatory 2 year commitment to interstate rookies?
  9. The only quote - which is from his manager and not Watts himself - just says they're waiting for a coaching appointment. It says absolutely nothing of the sort regarding threats to walk. But by all means, jump the gun, accuse him blackmail, call him names etc.
  10. The club obviously saw my post about how we're going to finish above St Kilda on the ladder
  11. If you don't think the GWS and Footscray games are winnable then you are clearly one of those footy fans that can only remember the last game of footy they saw. The game against the side with zero wins on the board, has a percentage worse than ours and we've already beaten once is unwinnable? Can't you see how silly that sounds?
  12. The difference is so subtle that it ceases to exist.
  13. There's actually also the real possibility that it could be pick 3. Go ahead and laugh if you want, but look at the ladder, our draw and St Kilda's draw first.
  14. When the players are playing at 30% it makes no difference at all what position players are in. I see tactics as something you fiddle with when trying to get a slight edge in a tight game. 1%ers, if you will. A 1%er when you are 200% off the pace won't do much and isn't worth worrying about IMO.
  15. What would the final score have been if he'd made those changes? I understand what you're saying, but I reckon Craig had much bigger things to worry about than replacing Hack A with Hack B in Position Z when we're behind by 100 points. Complaining about this is just nit-picking IMO.
  16. Clever moves, tactics and strategies are all weeing around the edges when the side is utterly dysfunctional.
  17. 6. Frawley 5. Dunn 4. N.Jones 3. Gawn 2. Sylvia 1. McDonald Well done Chipper and Dunn for beating your opponents, and the others for being the next four least-worst.
  18. I double check the rule every week, just to make extra sure Hogan can't play. Sadly they seem to remain static.
  19. Agreed Tim. Find a way to magic in some quality, experienced, match ready mids or we're stuck this way for the next few seasons at least.
  20. That will definitely solve the problem.
  21. Because if you don't watch Casey, you're none the wiser if he's progressing or just no good. It is a fair thing to ask.
  22. It's the same league we plucked Howe from. The standard is a long way off the VFL/SANFL/WAFL though. I think if Thorp wants credibility he'll need to consider a move, like the likes of Ian Callinan have done.

    GAME DAY

As opposed to all the other weeks, that have been kind? Most of the time the week after we play anywhere is unkind. We lose so often that it's impossible to say if Darwin is a factor or not.
