Wow, I missed the boat. I devoted my teenage years to playing FPS games online, played in a few tournaments and had a bit of success. There was no career path in it then though, although it was starting to get some momentum. Too old and busy and out of touch with it all for that kind of jazz now.

This seems to be talking about a particular member's room at the ground - that seems fair to me. Don't be a tosser when you're a guest of the AFC. Be as much of a tosser as you want (within reason) if you've paid to sit amongst the general public.

Our top 5 clangerers are Tyson, TMac, Vince, Oliver and Hunt. All 5 of them are also top 10 in disposal average (Tyson 5th). Gee, what a revelation that the players who get the ball the most are the ones with the greatest chance of misusing it on occasion.

I'd say Frost is uncharacteristically tall for a quick. He's fast by any standard, not just for talls. Freak athlete - it's very exciting to see him start putting some serious footy together. His ball use has really lifted this year.

And how much moaning was there at the time of it being "overs"? I wonder if anyone wants to try and defend that position now. We drafted ANB and OMac with the picks we received. So our two staple key defenders and a useful flanker, all for the bargain price of a second rounder.

Hah, Phew. I'd instantly consign anyone who questioned Petracca's body shape to the "never to be read again" bin.

Was pondering this myself recently. To me he has been up all season so far - looking committed defensively and dangerous offensively, in pretty much every game. Close to career best form for mine, or at worst, best form since he's been here. If he continues on current pace, he will kick over 50 goals, which he's never done before, so that supports the case. Really pleasing to see, because I also thought fell away last year. I guess you never know the environmental things that impact a player's form, but whatever it was seems to have been sorted as he's been great. Still can't believe we picked him up from the tip shop. Thanks again Mick.

Nope, this is just us riding the rollercoaster after a good win. Go have a read of the Crows fans response to their loss against us - they're on top of the ladder and completely despondent, because as I've said repeatedly on here, footy fans only remember the last thing that happened. I'm no more or less optimistic about the future than I was this time last week, but it is a nice feeling to see it starting to materialize.

With the news that Hogan is out and Hunt seems fine, no change.

I think for supporters it's irrelevant, but I suspect it's very relevant for Jesse.

What a trot. I really feel for Jesse and his family - this must have been very tough news to take. Glad to hear the news is positive under the circumstances. Sounds - again - like the club has been immense in its support. This is one of those times where football clubs can really shine - few people would have the vast support network available to them than what a strong club can offer. We're all still right behind you Jesse and look forward to seeing you in the jumper again.

I don't recall having seen so close to a unanimous score before.

I opened this with face poised to grimace the whole way, but it was pretty tame. Just an honest account of what happened without silly embellishments or too much self-victimisation (though there is a little bit). No particular revelations there.

Again, concern is understandable, calling for him to retire is knee jerk.

I think when it comes to offering life advice (even if it will never be received) regarding a player's personal medical condition, then yes, I think the baseline should be a recognised expert. There is a clear line between this and discussing who should be in the team and all the other kind of stuff we spitball on here in my view. Appreciate that people's concerns over his long term health are well meaning - nobody wants to see another Daniel Bell lining up on the field not knowing what he's doing there, but I still think when it comes down to it, we're too removed from the situation and it's none of our business anyway.

Of course he'll be thinking about his future - do you really think he isn't? I can't see how he could be doing anything other than sweating over this. The bloke must be crapping himself. I really feel for him. That's all the more reason why supporters and the footy media should just let him go about dealing with it privately, with the best advice, surrounded by people who love him, so that he can do whatever needs to be done. I don't think he needs every man and his dog having a say on a personal health issue that is actually nobody's business but his own. By the way I don't think it's knee jerk to say "he needs to think about his future", but it's very much knee jerk to say "he should retire", which people have said in this thread.

This conversation has happened every time mongrel - everyone instantly turns in to an expert on concussion and makes the decision for him to retire. It's getting very tedious. It hasn't even been confirmed as concussion yet!

It's not like saying that. The bike helmet is to stop your brain from falling out when you splatter on to the hard road at force. The same forces of inertia apply to your brain whether wearing a helmet or not. You're less likely to suffer a laceration or a broken skull with a helmet on, but your brain still bounces around in there the same as it would if you weren't wearing it, which is what a concussion is.

The wrists have well and truly been slashed over on the Crows BigFooty page - and they're on top of the ladder still!. Good to know it's not just us that are ridiculously fickle.

Melksham is his competition, but I can't see it happening this week. Melksham was poor prior to being dropped and then got rubbed out in the VFL, so he's not playing footy at the moment. Suspect he'll need to play at least one strong VFL game before he becomes in to consideration. Besides, I thought Wagner was pretty good. He's not the cleanest of ball users, but I wouldn't describe him as poor, and he attacks very hard. I'd prefer him to Melksham at this point.

Who for Hogan, if he's available then?

Hannan was instrumental at ground level in the Clarry miracle goal, but I think he'll make way if Hogan plays. I'd like to persist with Weid. No change to the forward line if Hogan isn't good to go. Stretch in for Hunt if he doesn't come up.

I'm starting to think Oliver could be a pretty good player.
