Exactly right. We need to get more fan to our home games, it's embarrassing, and as you mention it will likely see us having to go to Marvel should Essendon, Carlton & Collingwood request they play less games there.
A Hawks fan was mocking us on the train home, saying we can't even get over 40k when we're a decent team, what about when we inevitably drop down the ladder, hard to argue with him really.
Hawthorn couldn't even get 30,000 at Marvel. Pathetic for a "big club.

What was the call on the 50m that gave May kick at goal? I didn't see anything wrong from King.
He came in and stood about two metres closer than the mark. Probably trying to crib some space.

I hope they are all sitting in the rooms pre-game watching the 2021 Grand Final at their home away from home
And they come out firing. 6g to 1g in the 1st qtr would be good.
I don't. They'll think winning is easy.

Pleasing that he says tackling is part of the game he enjoys most.

The only nail biting part of the 2021 final against them was May going off with a hammy 😂
The last home and away game in 2021 was nail-biting. 😬

The point I made was that we were smashed in them. Luckily for us our defence is out one wood. Against better sides, we can’t afford to be belted so hard at the stoppages.
Against the Tigers, we won clearances 32-25, stoppage clearances 24-15 and contested possessions 136-119. In what way were we "smashed"?

Five games in and they’ve already named a railroad station after him!
And a hotel and a whole suburb.

My perception is that the umpires changed the technique of boundary throw-ins not long ago. They sling it across their chest more angularly, rather than just straight over their head.
This might be to get the ball thrown a greater distance, but I think it has lowered the depth accuracy and given more error in direction. You often see the ball going well left or right of where the ruckmen expect it to land.

I saw it last night yeah, I guess my inclination is, if umps had been paying the dissent rule more often, players wouldn’t feel like they could keep going? It’s another rule that is a victim of being applied seemingly at random thus players are now doing it more often. If it’s a rule then apply it every time it happens or get rid of it is my thinking.
Pavlov's dogs only needed occasional reinforcement to stop. 😄

"Since round 10 last year" is picking an artificial point to skew the stats.

What would that lesson be? Lever himself feared he’d ruptured it.
The lesson would be that Lever and everybody else shouldn't jump to conclusions.

Then there’s some players whose nicknames I’ve yet to hear: Tom Fullarton, Jed Adams, Will Verrall, Kyah Farris-White, Lachie Hunter, Shane McAdam).
Surely they'd be Fullo, Jeddo, Willo, Kyo, Hunto and Shano? ☺️

What you described is a Melbourne match under Goodwin; congested, defensive, low scoring and boring.
Last year Melbourne scored 2002 points, Sydney scored 1994. Not much different.

It's difficult to understand why Hogan and that other guy went West then.
Tip..they didn't want to play for the MFC.
Not difficult at all. They were both lured home (by Fremantle) and for family reasons. "The other guy" worked out for Fremantle, Hogan didn't and still wasn't happy. He had a navicular stress fracture and mental health issues that didn't help.

Dermott is no genius and all your banging on doesn't change it.

Yes. I take issue with the word "refuse" in the SEN headline. Just because we can't fix a problem doesn't mean we've refused to address it.
What forward has actually realistically been available for trade or at our draft picks? For all I know, we've tried.

Spargo will be part of the new, improved delivery inside 50, or I think that's the theory.
