The most hated would be Pies, Eagles, Crows, Bombers, blues, Geelong, Hawks, North and due to recent years diving, the Dogs.

I know it’s a hard job, but the incompetence of AFL and VFL umpires will never cease to amaze me 

I have for years called for umpires to operate as a team, match those who read the game similar. I have done sports umpiring and if doing with same umpire you learn their interpretation and umpire same way - it leads to consistency.

On the topic of umpiring I still shake my head in disbelief at how badly we adjudicate the advantage rule, why can’t we do what works in other sports, raise an arm for a free, give it 5-10 seconds, see if the advantage is there, if so lower arm, if not blow whistle and give free

The theory of the rule is good in my opinion, it is the wildly inconsistent interpretation that is so infuriating. The Andrew’s one was just appalling. Bit like the in the back on the same player was appalling and if the umpiring department want some respect the umpire should have been publicly dropped, not for a mistake but for a fabricated excuse for ignoring an obvious free kick.

I have done umpiring in the past, understand that it’s not an easy gig, but I also don’t think that being consistent in your interpretation and implementation of the rules is difficult. For the life of me, I can’t understand how the AFL and the umpires get it so wrong, so consistently

Some posts a bit over top, remember every team has players down pecking order.

Weid copped it before finishing better, but fact is 3 of our goals up to half way through third quarter came after spillages from marking contests that he competed in….

Also delivery ordinary to tall forwards in the second, but our tall forwards copped it…. Go figure.
