JLT 01: vs Richmond ... a Hot one

And we should have clear goals what we want to see, particularly setting certain players clear KPIs for the day. No points on offer, but a chance to set ourselves up for the year. You cant win the flag in March, but you can lose it. Systems and processes training, match fitness, and better defining Rd 1 Werridee’s best 22. After that, look good enough to bag some more memberships as people climb on board!

AFLW: Rd 4 vs North Melbourne

Good ball movement by both teams. North are a good outfit, will need to play well in the last to get the chocolates

Post Practice Match Discussion - Melbourne v Collingwood

It was an interesting game to watch, and good to have Pert and Josh available for fair chunks of the game. Video/Audio not great at times. Rusty early, but began to get some structures working after about 15 minutes. Close work looked good, fast hands and releasing from packs generally good. More kicking and marking when we had the ball, and some good line breaking at half back and wings. Forward setup looks dangerous, and the idea of twin smiths, weid and Preuss looks like it could be hard to match up against. Add in a TMac instead of a Smith and hooly-Dooley. Back end looked OK. WIll be much better with May and Lever. Hore looked OK, OMac solid, Frost...still Frost. Nice movement from Hunt was appreciated, and Lewis not done for yet. Will pressure others to work for their spots. Vanders laid a ripping tackle, and was a solid player. Gus dominated about 2 quarters, and Sparrow not out of place (but definitely not fully polished yet). JKH worked hard and did well, Salem good. Trac’s hands are quicksilver. Jeffy got 1, but not much else to show for his day. Preuss cramped late, but presented strongly and will be a good addition in some games. Max was simply brilliant in his positioning and marking. I like the setup of Max and Preuss at their kick ins, seemed to work well for us. Blocking the 45 degree channels (Pies hate the corridor) with big bodies was great Lots to work on, but a good first hit out.

Sideline Symbols To Revolutionise Game Day Coaching

These may be gimmicks for well organised teams. However, the runner has been almost an in-game coach, particularly in newer teams or cellar dwellars. Getting kids to run to the right spots, or to initiate certain plays. With runners to spend less time on the ground, bottom teams will benefit, whereas well drilled and well led teams not so much. Think of the games where we should have flooded behind the ball, didn't and it cost us a close one. Now McCartney could put up on the board 'X", 'squirrel' 'eggplant' and the team would know what to do. I hope it is of little benefit to us, and that we have leaders in every line that know what needs to get done. Perhaps it could be useful to signal rotations?? And do we really want the players all looking for the magic symbols to see what needs to get done, or simply get the footy and follow the plan? Otherwise, it will be an annoyance. I hate to think how toss heads like Ling will wax on about whatever symbol is on the board. I hate 7's team, and this will give them something more to spout on about that is not the game.

		Farewell Jesse Hogan

Simply roll someone across into this space. If they bring their opponent, you make an overcrowded choke point. Or you play someone who can run with him and give him no time when he gets it. He struggles from 45+ (with a couple of exceptions), so push him right out and give him no space in 0-35m.

Looking at the photos, Trac is looking spectacular. People that have asked if he looked fat, I would say that the pictures tell an incredible story. He looks like a beast. A ripped one at that.

Writing this must be like kissing your sister, @Satyriconhome? thanks for the Don watch. I wish him well. Like wishing a goldfish in a swirling toilet of backed up turds well. i wonder what you saw that stands them out vs MFC, plus and minus, from your brief observation?

		AFLX Revamped

So we have an utterly meaningless AFLX to follow an utterly meaningless big bash. there is no soul in either of these, and seven will try to make them ‘meaningful’.

		Training - Tuesday 12th February, 2019

Looking at the AFLW, the ball is getting past 50 quicker from kick ins. If we believe we can win the midfield, then the basic press will be deeper and we will man on man closer targets, get the ball on the deck, and win the contested ball. Maxy will have a role in the press, or will cover their ruckman if he sits inside 30-60m. Each team has wins and losses based on accuracy. If we can make them kick under pressure, we can limit their accuracy. Our strategy of the target diamond 30m out gives us the best chance of accurate set shots. i hope your angst will be misplaced....

New Major Sponsor - Jaguar CONFIRMED

This is a significant issue for people with visual impairments. In the US, electric cars have to make a noise below 20 kmh. It is an option that is switched off as normal in Australia, and is a real danger to visually impaired people in car parks...

		AFLX Revamped

What compensation do teams get if their stars are injured? Imagine if Dangerfield busts something, and Betts blows out a knee. Could have serious implications on the series proper. Hope none of our lads grace this stupidity with their presence
