  1. The most sage of all comments to date about this IWS What you suppose is ENTIRELY possible and more likely PROBABLE Hence the most logical of outocmes is to vacate the wiinner for this year, and leave as such.
  2. This is A F L smokescreen. An attempt at penaltive distraction. Asada hasn't begun . AFL still thinks it rules.. slow learner it seems.
  3. I have so much respect for this bloke. I wish his circumstances were very different. The world is nastily unfair at times. He deserves a much better trot. Danners you're an inspiration.
  4. Arent Asada still saying that the AFL hasn't forwarded a complete brief ?
  5. Whilst I feel Roos was very much the Man we needed to reboot the club's culture and footy ( though Jackson pushed the ON button ) I thought Roosy's game style was overly cautious in the main. You had to be to begin with but I feel ( imho ) the reigns were held a bit tight for a bit too long. We got dacked in many games because we were slow to react. That might just be 'instructions' it may also be uncertainty from the group as to what Roos wanted at that point. Either way..we played staid footy at times, to our demise. I noticed this was n't the case in the NAB but I had to temper my assessments knowing that in all likelihood this game style coiuldnt be sustained. Ive mentioned before that I think the reigns may loosen now. I think some new training regimes will go along those lines.. i.e getting to the next levels of spread and attack. This is very much the way Goody played. He took it on when it was there to do so. Havent got to a training session just yet ( since they're back ) hope to in a week or so to see what's new...in Demon Footy
  6. It hasn't There may well yet come that day Saty , you wake up ( light bulb moment ) ....Ahhhh I get it now !!
  7. He doesnt have to....NO He could...and set tongues awagging...yes He's his own style of man that's for sure I think he will struggle now though his "flair" and get up and go might be an intrigue for Goody. We have an excess of talent in the backline now. Its who fit, who sparks, who really REALLY wants to be part of our next flag. He's a strange fish
  8. Sorry Saty On more than one occasion they ' neglected' to inform ASADA fully what and how often they were taking supplements. They deliberately withheld known information. That's lying.
  9. Under the cloud of derailing..Id just like to personally answer that throwaway glibness regarding the EFC ancestory of some of our lot.. Some wrongdoing has been done. Some have been penalised and now find themselves as Demons. Yep thats fine. Some other detail can be discussed Im sure elsewhere but Im sure if the FD consider the likes of Milkshake and Piggy to be handy acquisitions then I sincerely await with interest to watch them contribute. If Jackson and Roos judge Goody to be the 'right thing" for Melbourne . I have no issue. ( my issues invariably filter back to a topographic location with strong breezes ) I actually think Goodwin will be a good coach. I also think the Club has done its level best to situate all and sundry in place to make it happen Somewhere I read that Melbourne intend to play next season with a bit more flair. I saw some of this last NAB cup. Thought it marvelous but unlikely to be sustainable....at the time. I think that time is now here. Go Dees
  10. Thanks Saty and others...Im just trying to get my head around how the FD is approaching this now. Seems we're now at the cutting edge and not the dull blade of this stuff.
  11. Saty and similar ilk; Mines far from a pack thinking mentality. Dare I say i was among a handful from the beginning who urged and directed this be taken seriously. That's not to blow my own trumpet per se, just to put context on where I've been the whole time. The horse carrying any credibility for the likes of Robbo, Warner and a whole swag of others shot through long ago. As we have seen this past week, there's a lot in the Media with agendas and a fair slice of the media itself bias. Some of us just think for ourselves.
  12. Thats what was presented to the public as his reason to not particpate.
  13. arent they just a marvel of a club.
  14. I can see where some wouldl say there is a void to fill if Jobe disqualified ( when ..really ) . My preference though is for a 'no winner" result. This is some respects pays respect to the medal itself.
  15. just read the article. Quite interesting. Certainly offers up a side to Goody I wasnt familiar with. He's been far from perfect, but has been driven. He at least learns from mistakes , his and others. He's no Saint, in fact he's now a Demon. I think he'll have a great connect with the players. I liked what little I saw of his coaching style early last year. I'm hopeful. 2017, bring it on.
  16. Which again reinforces the idea that Essendon is still nothing more than a club that would rather get away with what it can rather than aim high and do what it should.
  17. No one will ever convince me the likes of Watson didnt realise it wasn't quite on the up and up. .
  18. They maybe the same I knew of..Amazingly they both were desperately unfortunate to have relatives with terminal conditions requiring medical needs beyond their purchase Such a shame. I hope they all faired well in the end
  19. This thread is the equivalent of Seinfeld. God knows how you would apply a definition to any discussion in order to be able to qualify any derailing. Bit like applying a grid to chaos theory really.
  20. how exactly has structure changed...thats interesting. Goody must be going in a slightly different direction then ?
