  1. exactly...as mentioned above The suitor often needs to outbid the resident club.... thats how players get interested. It might also be said it is sometimes when clubs get interested. Im sure right at the moment things are relatively normal...and then the circus comes to town.
  2. We seem to play better with only 2 big KPF in the arc....it declutters
  3. What am I refusing to concede ? He may not go home. He might. Until it's over it ain't over. We /you/ anyone can't debate the merits or even likelihood of an offer(s) until they surface. They aren't going to surface until we finish with finals ( with flag ) There are a number of different realities in footy. The h/a season. Finals.. Trade/draft circus... preseason . Each has it's own climate and peculiarities. Those most left of field environment I would suggest is trade week. If Jesse stays ..all well and good but exactly where and how he plays is a , imho, a vexed question. If he goes... again all well and good...what do we get. Who here would seriously bet their house he stays ? Brave

Bernie Bernie Bernie... What a bugger to not go out in style. Thanks for your efforts , contributions and leadership. A Demon champion.
  5. Johnno suggests no so much doesn't....just not to right spots. Than in itself might cause him to be ignored as mentioned by another.
  6. Funny how many don't see this...we stop bombing relentlessly...and efficiency to goal increases. It brings into question the whole fwd structure and how we play. This in turn raises the notion of who plays where. Hogan may be very good but he may not be the best solution. Doesn't surprise me some can't decipher the difference.
  7. Strangely I think Garlett would revel in the climate of a final.
  8. my there are some pompous among us. close all threads then What comical arrogance Careful wearing those Emperor's clothes there ....

Don't think so. It's scanned tickets I believe
  10. The seeds are there because they are there. You can glibly deny it til the cows come home. A thread on anyone isn't warranted. Nice deflection. I don't attempt to paint all with one brush as you would.
  11. A trade of Hogan ,though possibly unlikely , is however possible. The seeds have been around since he began his AFL career. There are many aspects to this. One I find bemusing is the dismissal , abjectly, of an offer that has yet to be tabled. Yes talks do go on out in the 'non-official' world. Often theyre to gauge the market. But like a real estate auction is often doesn't get real ( or even start ) til it's almost over . Of course no one is going to say anything other than a straight-bat reply. Nothing may eventuate but the merits and such are still valid questions. May the righteous bang their drums ( gives them something to play with )

I am too....and practically her whole bloody family ( being a mic... it's big lol ) Even worse a b-i-l played for them. Jane....I feel your pain....and share your joy whenever we beat the bastards !!
  13. I fully understand the Vibe, but Mabo I see it all holistically. It's about a team , a club. 160 years young and 54 without a flag. Whatever's best to that end. In that light Jesse may or may not be part of it. In a fashion it's irrelevant. His life is his. I wish him well. Players, coaches , officials come and go. But speaking of pathos, it's us Demon tragics that go the distance irrespective. Should it actually transpire, a trade, I'm sure Hogan will have no compunction donning another jumper. Nor do I. Footy is footy. I still don't understand how discussion of a players merits and worth etc is disrespectful.l

Yep agree.. He has a classically correct kicking action. That goal on a stiff angle was a pearler. The Weidemans have DNA as good kickers
  15. Please...such righteous indignation !! Actually players in the sense of being part of a list are exactly commodities. They are 'bought' "traded' " written down" . You don't like it...fair enough. Don't come the raw prawn though and have it only your way. If you take offence to the way some view the whole shebang you're likely to be offended again. Maybe find a 'nice' thread. I have no disrespect for any player as a person. Nor have I any real interest in them other than as a player. As a player they have their bit to do. They either do it or they don't. That's absolutely fair game for review as in my opinion their place on the list . You probably best steer well away from any List manager's office.

A lot of us... everywhere have wondered just what can he be. He's starting to crack the shell and get it together....but by the standards of what we perceive his abilities to be he's just on his way. Keep going lad... keep going
  23. Or counter: Not be truly fit...but come straight in ? Because that happens.
  24. beelzebub replied to McQueen's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
But does he have to try and kick the skin off the footy !! ??
