  1. Probably ruins his Gold Logie chances too ?
  2. Agree... Be at the end of Devil Gate Drive !!!
  3. I don't think he is. I agree with Ron he has access to support and accommodating employment beyond the norm.
  4. Summed up. Couldn't organise the proverbial....???
  5. I think we can disagree. No one gives a 100 each and every time, but the threshold for elite would be very, VERY high. If you can't...step aside. My concern for Hogan, his team mates and club is , to be frank, I just don't think his heart is in it. Not for AFL requirements. He's been quoted as enjoying the opportunity to return home and play footy with some mates etc. All well and good, and of course not the totality of his approach, but often actions speak volumes. This is my view and quite happy to own it.. and be different if need. In the end he's not a Melbourne player. Matters little to me . Go Dees
  6. The 109 was a typo. .but irrelevant. If you're going to play elite team sports ,then I'm sure your employer and team mates would like to know your 'in the game" Otherwise your wasting yours and everyone else time and effort.
  7. @hemingway re ...just wanting to play footy...maybe. Not sure he's really 109% commited to AFL though. He's good at sabotaging his efforts.
  8. Ron ....can I like this twice. Excellent summary
  9. You raise an interesting spectre...that Ralph would want to have proof. That it's damaging ( of course ) to do so frivolously without such. It kinda suggests to me he might. There is a lot of talk doing footy circles. There was quite a bit last year that mentioned players with involvement past and then current with Melbourne. Often what is seen by the public is very sanitized. The AFL 3 strike system is a joke...beyond a joke really. We've seen the lengths they'll go to to rewrite history and negate any naysayers. That any of these Vids get out is testament to both the underlying problems and the notion you can't hope to plug all holes nowadays. Ralph won't have gone with his story....if he couldn't back it. The world of elite sports ...not so sparkly in some areas. They're but humans...and we humans have lots of problems and vices.
  10. Quite a bit known in the general AFL community. I can assure you the MFC knows it
  11. Please note . Not intended as any form of character assassination, it's just my view. I liked Hogan when he came to us. Not imagining a Messiah, a silver bullet or any fits all panacea. Just thought he could play, showed promise. To me he showed lots without actually providing any categorical evidence he was indeed as good as the hype. And then the nagging doubts set in. His yo-yo attitude onfield could at least in part be attributed to off field dilemmas. He has demons. He also has choices. He has opportunity and support many couldn't even imagine. He still has a world of sorts at his feet. He trips over a lot. I'm not gloating but simply saying I went early on the notion of him going as being a good thing for us. What he does is up to him. I'm only really concerned about us. Don't like to see anyone come unstuck but again it's THEIR concern, and those close to him. He seems to have a scavenging entourage. More pity him I said some time ago I doubt he'd ever realise his potential. Nothing has changed for me. Freo are a basketcase. Poor Jesse. Go Dees
  12. Condolences. RIP A champion has passed
  13. So apparently they were the Life Choices supplied by the MFC ?? Joke Niall
  14. You know what...it's out there because HE did it. Don't do it.. it doesn't go "out there" How about some reality here.
  15. So this bloke.. he's left Melbourne ...yes ? ???
  16. The question supposed he's but an automon..and an exception. I simply think he's a very capable player that's now using his actual decision qualities better within the framework of team style.
