What a dribble post. Woey is looking better by the week ant pup has given much needed desperation when he has come in.
I have been a massive Goodwin supporter but that is over now. He won us a premiership and maybe didn't give the kids a go he needed too.
Noah Yze was exciting today and you would have to think he will come to Melbourne but we have overlooked him twice.
He kicked 7 goals but the greatest moment was when he nailed Woey with a picture perfect pass. You can't script tha
He plays next year you can bet you house on it it.

It's just a funny game as a forward when you get a bit of luck and convert your opportunities. He could easily have 2.2 and it would have been a good but ho-hum half.
But he didn't.
Toby Green could be ho hum if he didn't convert but he was an All Australian captain because he did.
Bont and Hird remind me of Harvey Langford because they all just go bang and kick a goal when the team nees it.
Noah could have kicked 6 behinds in a gail today but he didn't.

Clarry hasnt been himself for years now, Tracc has had 1 bad year and hasn’t cooked himself off the field.
Viney is limited I agree but he will try everything over the off season to improve
Clarry is one of the greatest footballers ever to put his laces on for this club. We need to back him to get back his best and he is looking like he will.
Viney is father son been a captain of the club, his old man is in the team of the century and was integral in building our premiership list. Knife him and that's the biggest culture killer ever.
Petracca I can handle. Moore got him in a dog act and I only say that because he has stuck his knees into people before and since. If we trade Petracca let's hope we get a good deal.
-
Earlier in this thread someone posted about iny miny mini mo. That struck a chord with me because I used to say that in primary school to see who was out in tiggy or whatever game we were playing. I had no idea of the meaning at the time. Thank goodness we have cultural change since those days.
On the football field anything went but the classic in my era was your mother wears army boots. There were also lots of homophobic slurs that me and my mates and opposition players said.
Not one of my mates or I would say those things now because luckily it is no longer socially acceptable and we wouldn't want to because we understand the hurt it can cause.
When my daughter was getting bullied at school I would tell her sticks and stones will break your bones but names will never hurt you. I thought I was trying to make her more resiliant but maybe that is an outdated approach.
CTE is a massive issue is sport and we have all whinessed what happened to Danny Frawley. Now his precious daughter Danielle is married to Angus who has suffered a number of head knocks.
I feel like physical action on the field is more severe than anything said on the field and the MRO is disproportionate in some of their deliberations. Having said that if a homophobic slur is directed at a homosexual player or something racist said to an indigenous player throw the book at them

People here are jumping at shadows. I battle insurance companies every day in my professional life and this isn't on Zurich.
Workcover is state based and legislated by each state. Zurich doesn't hold a liscense to provide that cover.
They are providing an accident an illness cover for the league which is completely different.
Read my post history on Maynard and Brayshaw I'd be up there with the filthiest posters on that incident and hold a grudge.
But Zurich are not in the wrong here. He has been medically retired by the AFL. It sucks he was one of my favourite players and a legend of this football club.
Zurich should not have to indemnify him for this. It's completely outside of their accident and injury intentions. If he lost an arm or an eye it wouldn't be in dispute. But he has been concussed and told he can't work as a footballer again.
That comes under work cover or the AFL' professional liability insurer. If that is Zurich I'll start throwing grenades like everyone else but there is no information saying it is and they can't legally be the work cover insurer in victoria

We should have given Balme more time?
Or?
Get the right people at the club and win premierships. Most of the top 8 teams have players with similar abilities.
Posters are quick to blame the coach or players like Sharp for example.
But you need the right structures not just on the field but off the field to win premierships
-
I was introduced to Neil Balme randomly in a Cafe once and I asked him how come he has won premierships at every club he's ever been too except Melbourne and he said to me because we never gave him enough time.
He's been integral in premierships at Norwood, Richmond , Collingwood and Geelong.
He's sitting on the board at Adelaide this year.
Darren Burgess is the high performance manager.
We have had a season without knowing how to win.
Watch Adelaide romp it home this year with ex demons who know how to win guiding them.
We complain on Demonland about individual players but you need more than that.
Watch Adelaide romp it in with the right people there to make it happen.
Guerra needs to make that happen for us again.

What do Collingwood supporters and sperm have in common?
Both have a one in 3 million chance of becoming a human being.
I was next to a bloke who was hugging and high fiving me in the third quater when Melbourne were coming. I just assumed he was a fellow Melbourne supporter. Then in the last quater he told he doesn't even barrack for Melbourne he just [censored] hates Collingwood

Clayton has at this stage of his career has won two coaches awards, a best and fairest in our premiership year and kicked a goal that sealed our first premiership in over 50 years then raised his arm to the crowd letting them know we just we had just won the premiership.
Let's hope the mob is right about Langford and Clayton brings back his best.
I think both are looking likely

This is on the AFL not Zurich.
If he has ongoing medical costs or has some permanent form of disability by all means it's on the ilife nsurer to indemnify him.
At this stage that's not to case and let's hope it isn't going forwards.
The AFL ruled him ineligible to play, to mitigate against legal action down the track.
Life insurers don't pay out for restraint of trade nor should they

When it mattered most, Langdon kicked it out on the full, rivers point, trac point, Gawn on the full. The only thing missing is Oliver kicking a point lol.
What all duck no dinner?

Maybe still a "smokey" to win the NAB Rising Star Award?
Nevertheless, will probably finish in the top 5 in our Best & Fairest count. Not bad for a first year player!
I can't understand why he is paying $51 for the rising star. Every time he dominates a game i check his odds and he keeps drifting.

Currently under 15's.
Evidently the White twins are now 14 years old.
We've been following Kalani White since he was 9
Now I just read Brad Green and TJ have sons tearing it up in the u15's. Don't know how those kids don't have 100 page threads.
We have been crucified for our poor skills. I'm backing these kids can kick

Until they changed the rules on him, he would jump over anyone

Green bleeds red and blue.
I went on the Daniher drive to raise money for motor neuron disease and Green was there sticking up for Daniher
I've been at training when a young kid went up to Green (before he was president) and asked him if he wanted a signed poster of the team, without realising she was speaking to a legend of the club. He was so polite to her and handled it well.
When Netz opened his pub I went there on the opening night and Brad Green was standing there at the bar having a beer supporting his mate Neita
Captain of the MFC and dominated in one of most exhilarating games in a final against Carlton that any Melbourne supporter born after 1964 had ever seen.
I'm backing he has the best interest of the club at heart and will take a bullet for the club if he has to so the next generation can start with a clean slate

How he could dominate a Grand Final when he was so over weight is beyond me.
Demonland was in a meltdown in the pre season of 2021 because Petracca was supposed to be over weight.
If that Rioli from Port ever get's in a grand final bet evey cent you have on him winning the Norm Smith.
The List Manager Tim Lamb
in Trade & Draft
Journalism at its worst. We're passionate but not always right. We at domonland don't know the analytics at training or the injuries the players are carrying.
When I last went to training which was recent they had drones flying over, gps monitors on the players and heart.mlnotors on them
It's not an exact science but you have to back in what we are doing. We don't have half the team out like Essendon.
We will have a fresh start next year
