It’s stiff because he’s in position to tackle, the Carlton player fumbles, he can’t dive on the footy, that’s a free, shouldn’t lead with head and get crashed in to, that’s dangerous.

He can only really try to block the Carlton player. Obviously he’s gone a little heavy with a bumping action but it’s an attempt to clear the space. There’s a reason there’s no damage don’t because it wasn’t an attempt to cause any.

whereas kmart dusty at the filth's intention was to physically hurt the meth coke bloke

It’s not saying that. It’s saying ignore the noise you know you’re right. I’m actually not bagging him, this is a cut throat business and I don’t see enough strengths for this guy to become a regular player at the level. You may believe differently and that’s fine. Isn’t this a discussion forum? you’ve resorted to abuse as your form of discussion I’m just stating what I see. Maybe watch a few Casey games and give us your view of his strengths

    i watch casey's every game

he was much better earlier in the season when he didn't have additional talls competing in the same role

positives based on what i've seen:

    • he runs to the right spots
    • his hands are quite good
    • his kicking shows penetration and accuracy

negatives based on what i've seen:

    • he doesn't appear to have much tank
    • he's as skinny as a rake
    • his hangs his head when things don't go the way he wants

you're just another hanrahan, typical of too many on this platform that want perfection and only ever look for the negative

Be interested on your take on The Shack - I haven't seen much of him at Casey but during the game with the D's I thought he looked like he had good skills with ball in hand but didn't use his size to impose himself - bit like the Weed, tentative at times....am I misreading his game?

Yeah doesn’t impose himself on the game with physicality but always runs to the right spots and is a lovely kick both at goal and around the ground

  4. Brown and Jefferson played target roles well and Schache as the ruck-forward was excellent

Woewodin and JJ very good thru midfield, and Laurie made smart decisions

Smith did a lot well but also a few howlers, while Turner and Adams combined well without having a huge impact

    It was a quality game

    He’s taller than Trac😂

height has nothing to do with his body shape, his low centre of gravity, and the sort of player he looks to play like

elliott is smaller than either and plays 'tall' by comparison to trac

Viney, geez does he goes under the radar with all his work. Incredible grunt work at stoppages. Very impressive performance once again.

two weeks in a row oppo sent their 'cooler' to viney

    carlton elected to go head-to-head

    bad move

  7. sestan's body shape reminds me of the likes of brian wilson or peter daicos - it'll be interesting to see how it changes after a few pre-seasons

can definitely see him as a jamie elliott type

i suppose fitness will depend on how he can eventually move thru the midfield

Third week in a row where the umpiring was appalling.

But zero push back from the media. It's pathetic.

The media are completely compliant with an afl shadow ban of legitimate critique or one of the most critical elements of the game.

the two gerards on sen actually went hard on how poor the week before was - not one of our games, but the footscray one i believe

    • they're not professional
    • there's too much inconsistency in each game with four different decision makers on field
    •  there's no accountability for the quality of their performances in-game and week-to-week

    appalling

I agree to an extent. The dilemma will come as early as next week. We'll want to play three talls again, with Hibbo replacing Bowser, but I'm not convinced there's a good match up for Tomlinson, who remains undersized for a second key back. Maybe it's not a huge issue against Collingwood.

Gus is a butcher in the midfield IMO and gets lost in transition, but he's so much smarter playing behind the ball. That's really his position. I felt Gus was much better when Bowser went off, because we shifted him behind the ball. He did a couple of really calm and clever things after that.

100% in agreement with brayshaw playing his best football behind the ball

our entire backline is built around players reading the play coming in so well and being able to work together

our disposal everywhere else on the ground was pretty putrid but our backline workrate and effort was first class once again
