  1. it's not just $1.6m over the next 2 years tho, is it? it's $1.6m over the next 2 years then, you'd think, at a bare minimum $0.8m over the two after that he's not going to want to sign only a two year deal - he's looking for security of position in the afl system as much as he's looking to FINALLY get paid what gc17 have owed him over a period of time it's a big commitment
  2. if being the operative word here
  3. this de goey stuff is hilarious
  4. same money over 4 years + 2 property portfolios
  5. some talk that cats are going to get bowes and pick 7 so that'd be... IN: pick 7, bowes, bruhn, henry OUT: late first and second round picks handy!
  6. i'm one of jog's biggest critics on this site but he's a far superior player to cerra the only way i wanted to see gus moved on was if it meant that dog was definitely staying; the minute we confirmed the former was staying it was obvious the later was on the way out
  7. definitely virgin - official afl partner airline
  8. way overs make it rosman and we might get ourselves a deal
  9. hey! there was a sure thing at dapto!!
  10. my crom support mate loathes scholl almost as much as he can't stand fish mcasey he considers the latter emblematic of their first round drafting which has been, quite frankly, abysmal 2021: josh rachele at pick 6 (a winner) 2020: riley thilthorpe at pick 2, luke pedlar at pick 11 (jury out on the latter) 2019: fish mcasey at pick 6 (looks a bust) 2018: chayce jones at pick 9, ned mchenry at pick 16 (both classique good, ordinary afl level players) 2017: darcy fogarty at pick 12 (has taken burgess to get him fit enough for afl) 2016: jordan galucci at pick 15 (a bust) 2015: wayne milera at pick 11, tom doedee at pick 17 (probably their last good first round selections) as we well know, if you get yr first round picks 'wrong' yr up against it to build a good side
  11. no, pick 18 as it stands, which will balloon out to pick 20+ with ashcroft, fletcher, davey etc. all likely to be nominated early
  12. melbourne's 32 + 41 + 50 = 1269 points brisbane's 15 = 1112 points i'd be happy with that as a first transaction
  13. so four full days of trade radio rambling
  14. free agency doesn't even open for some time, let alone trade period
  15. at this time of the year, hope springs eternal! the mfcss will kick in with the first report of 'player x is on restricted duties as the dees return to the track'
  16. Harmes should remain our first rotation mid - more effective playing that role than Brayshaw, Sparrow, Jordon et al for mine
  17. fwiw, from the sun: Melbourne says it wants two first-rounders and a second-rounder or two picks within 10 (including one within the first seven picks) for Jackson. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/moneyball-afl-trades-all-the-latest-news-and-whispers-on-potential-2022-player-movement/news-story/1855f1401433f17306a756a3e7f5405a first time i've seen it said what we are chasing for dog
  18. what we give up will be entirely predicated on how much the filth are paying over the next five seasons
  19. he was named best over ashcroft? surprising i liked what i saw of mckenzie, aints' academy kid that they're going to lose the rights to
  20. yeah, i think we have depth but it's not great quality or emerging i want quality players pressuring the likes of brayshaw, harmes, and sparrow for their roles as second and third rotation mids, rather than being ready to plug-and-play like dunstan based on what i saw of vic country v vic metro, if we trade our way back into the 1st round this year then there's a fair bit of talent available that should do that much more so than talls, where cadman looks a top 5 prospect but there's not much beyond that
  21. i know, but he's meant to be a midfielder first and foremost
  22. burst speed is excellent ability to run up and back all day is definitely in question i see him as a half back who is able to offer run and carry OCCASIONALLY - he's far too unpredictable with the ball in hand to want having him get it more than 15 times or so a game
  23. if he's leaving he's signing a four year deal i am not sure if i ever see him as more than depth at senior level much prefer the mid / small defender rotation of hibberd, salem, brayshaw, bowey, rivers over hunt being part of it as soon as next year, let alone in four or so years time
  24. is he any good? has struggled to break into the midfield of a poor to average side
  25. Harley Reid for next year's draft looks very, very special
