  1. i will be there. 20+ y/o whiskeys....yeah...
  2. yes O.D. The certainly did. The cars were built for speed. Safety was the seatbelt. Jackie Stewart got the ball rolling on safety. Great man.
  3. too right. The 1970 Porsche 917K's were pulling close to 300 mph down the maison straight at Lemans. Those guys were fearless. Before insurance ruined everything.
  4. No worries. I have an old school teacher who has built Mt. Paranoia in his back shed. We iften race in the dark with lights. Awesome fun.
  5. Jennifer Coyte you mean??
  6. cool. Video camera's have been suggested by a few mates i know but it's big $$$Yep the Carera Slots are fully computerized. Fuel loads. Brakes. Cars in 1/24 & 1/32 scale. Great shop in centre rd Bentleigh will sort you out.
  7. you guys need to find a mechanic who knows his craft but is not working for the dealerships. My mum has a 3 year old Mini & the prices the BMW dealerships quote are outrageous. Often with todays cars replacing of leads hoses and a "reboot" of the system computer is a service. Search the net.
  8. not enough countries play the game is a problem i see. But the crowds for the tests and 20/20 have been really poor. That is a huge concern Gonna cost CA an absolute fortune this summer.
  9. slot cars are not for kids. Have had some great races...
  10. Sri Lanka could still win this...we have half a bowling attack. strange summer this one...Cricket is so far behind in the promotion game it amazes me...
  11. I Have a Porsche 917K on order... 1/24 scale Carrera Slot Car in original Gulf Oil Livery....(Steve McQueens Car) most pleased...
  12. 4/87 at stumps. Thanks for coming.
  13. Mate, Wong's cafe is on Glenhuntly Rd in the heart of the Gaza Strip. We should cross paths there during the "off"season.
  14. Lunch at Wong's Cafe last week was the same as it always is. Great...
  15. Haha! Bloody hell i am dead. I had no idea. "It's a fair cop Gov..."
  16. hopefully it is the inquisition because i will still be working well into 2013....
  17. DC you are back!Thought you must have died a broken heart as 2012 was such an awful disaster. Nice you are still kicking. I am yet to mention Demonland or it's contents, but i am actually writing the final sections of the first draft in the next few weeks, then it is "cut and paste" time. So i may mention this madhouse in some form. Yes i have thought about the elusive 13th The topic will be left unfinished...
  18. yes, i agree. But Sean is a little highly strung to play yours truly..Kev is far more my speed. Breakfast with Halle Berry would be a good starter though!
  19. Alan Alda!! Hahaha! Far too dull for me, Kevin Spacey is a better fit by far. As for the topics you have raised, i have them covered here. The first rule of editing is to not repeat yourself, unless of course you are Taratino, Olly Stone or David Lynch...Stanley Kubrick..Chaplin who are genius at showing the same scene through different eyes.
  20. that's the plan HT. Am working on it right now. 2013 is the year of the edit.
  21. all will be revealled apparently in 9 days..
  22. yes and he mentions it weekly. Other people i speak to say we did really well. Denham is another who dislikes CS i think. He won't say it but it has to be along those lines...
  23. The only way to shut Denham up is to win games. He believes our recruiting this year is atrocious. Personally i think it is smart. We have to start slowly as far as free agency goes. If 2 of our new recruits are a success then we are in front. Next year we must do the same. Some free agency contracts will last 12 months, something Denham refuses to acknowledge. He wants all our recruits to be 5 year + players. Dawes should be but i doubt the rest will be. But the immediate benefits COULD be long lasting.
