I wouldn’t expect a new Coach to salvage this year if current trends continue. But if we are not winning games by mid season there is no point wasting the rest of this year. So realistically you are happy to be in a holding pattern all year?? If the connection between Coach, gameplan and players is not working by mid season then Goodwin has to go. There is no reason why we shouldn’t have the players with skill to play a modern gameplan, every other club this year so far has looked way faster and committed than us in moving the ball. Bottom line is Goodwin cannot get the Forward line functioning. A message to our Younger Members on here. In the 70’s and 80’s going out to Windy Hill (Essenthing’s Home Dump) was a seriously dangerous task, i am not joking. They wanted to fight and see blood. It was a long train ride home. And when Sheedy came along in 1981 it actually got worse. So don’t ever have any sympathy for the Essendrug FC. If they ever become extinct, celebrate hard….
