  1. you'd have to add Modra, and I'm sure there are many more if i set my mind to it
  2. no point changing a winning team (cough cough)
  3. couldn't possibly declare the innings closed when it is 3 short of a century
  4. its not just about tall KPFs there is nothing wrong with having 'some' project players, after all that is what high draft picks and rookies are all about our problem is and i'm sure you would agree is that we have had too many project players and project players of the wrong type that's what i meant about balance. ergo it's not completely a black and white issue hope that's not too nuanced
  5. lets hope so rl, we need some good news
  6. I don't think it is a black and white issue rpfc More about balance and how many eggs in the basket I thought you knew all about nuance?
  7. An extra year to 5 represents effectively a 25% increase So a 4 year offer at 5-25% more than Collingwood offer would be offering more than Collingwood So two choices [1] same money per year but over 5 years or [2] 5-25% more per year over 4 years. Either offer front-ended suiting both parties. Option [2] is cheaper if < 25% increase, gets him for 4 years, reduces our risk, increases his offer and we could massively front-end it Do we know the money/year that the filth are offering?
  8. all good points but to be honest i'm not too fussed either way i'm more concerned about the other side of the coin and whether they can get enough quality replacements it looks to me that quality picks in FA will be very scarce If they could get reasonable quality i wouldn't complain if they turned over 20 players lol of course it won't happen
  9. Yeah, I agree he's borderline depending on what success we have picking up FA's Trades Mature players etc I think he just scrapes in for a second year. Could be worthwhile as a role/depth player in the short term
  10. If it (really) bothers you Fan take it up with Don.
  11. Lets not turn this into another Cameron Cloke thread B)
  12. Old55 the Foundation Members fundraiser has been running for a few years now and will continue running annually As some other poster said the TPP is only about 25% of total revenue Our total revenue is less than the big clubs and in some areas our facilities are less than theirs. We have a lower supporter base than most We will always (for the foreseeable future) need more revenue to compete on a level playing field Donations from generous benefactors is just one way to grow revenue (and is the case with the bigger clubs too) As in politics there will never be "enough money"
  13. Its a non-question. Revenue is revenue. For special events you dress it up for max appeal. I thought the question was disingenuous, thats all
  14. don't sweat it
  15. I'm sure Fan could work that out for himself???
  16. I tried to put your response through Google Translator but it wouldn't accept input language as type 'incomprehensible' I sent them an email suggesting an enhancement so until they do I will have to continue struggling LOL
  17. Well done Foundation Members - we all (well most) appreciate your generosity
  18. Well if sponsors like publicity then they are getting it in buckets this year
  19. and get to more contests (ie more possessions)
  20. turned out mr denuto's vibe was spot on
  21. i have the vibe that there could be some upside still to come for sellar nothing better for someone's confidence than a new start and some support might be wrong but
  22. and What if Jakovich hadn't injured his back and played 200 games for the Dees What if TheoX hadn't smashed his knees and out-shined King Carey
  23. yes, but not as CHF, nor likely I still can't believe we drafted a second mirror image type CHF. What were they thinking?
