  4. strangely (for me) i see something in barry (at least a glimmer) he's a skinny under-developed kid who's only been around 2 years worth persevering with for a while
  5. devastated now will we qualify for a pp?
  6. did they offer you free counselling od?
  7. i will never forget his attempt to justify melbourne's punishment for non tanking in a press interview pure monty python he proved himself as the perfect commiss stooge i think team-afl is in big poo and for once jeffry was right on a football issue
  8. gillom reminds me of one of those upper class ponces in a monty python class skit i never could see what the commiss saw in him other than someone easy to manipulate. smile and make them look more youthful
  9. well 2 and 3 could be swapped to get 4 inside 20 only one to go - pp? as if 3aw would know
  10. i think you are on the right track but it is more specific than that from my observation i can get it to work when posts have been added since i started to post but..... i think it doesn't work when the db is actually in the process of updating a new post when i hit my post button at least that seems to be the case a record lock handling issue?
  11. 5% is very generous bub reckon we'd be lucky to account for half that
  12. given fan's club rivalry and jealousy i'd say it is about as endorsing as you could ever hope to get in an 18 club comp
  13. ramunaskis wasn't dead either but they allowed essenscum to redraft him gratis
  14. it's a bit spooky smithy same number of wooden spoons as premierships if we get one this year it might mean there is a flag around the corner (i can dream)
  15. i don't think the wind even bothers with romsey od
  16. from the grid i mean od they still have alpaca-driven generators
  17. they still use slates and haven't heard of biros in romsey od heard they might get electricity next year
  18. only 10 times mone? hell i voted at least 300 times only joshing, lol
  19. given mfc supporters would be <5% and most club supporters are quite insular on these matters, then 33% is actually quite strong support
  20. i was going to say the luck of a demon suppporter but then i thought better so i'll say the luck of the irish
  21. no it's all ridgy didge od (you'll understand that expression) i just had to give my bank details to his nice nigerian manager no results and they debit my account
  22. i might have to join you at uni blacks' games after all od
  23. you are only agreeing with me od but my real point was that continued failure is bad also for everyone at least economically and that a re-location (esp to tassie) does not resolve that but just perpetuates it
  24. too late...i've already booked a good witchdoctor from romsey that bbo put me onto he should starting casting his spells shortly money back guarantee too
  25. this is the most relevant question continued failure of melbourne hurts the whole competition as well as just melbourne having a merger or relocating solves little economically for the whole competition does anyone really think having a dedicated team in tasmania would be an improvement? it would just be another broke team drawing sub 20k crowds and being propped up by the afl a merger just creates more byes and less games for the tv rights if the afl believes in a fair equalisation scheme it must do something that impacts on melbourne's player list in the short term i have little confidence they have the will to act independently or effectively as they are too blindly beholden to other "infuences" i expect no more than the same piddling snake-oil spin they gave last year
