  1. do you have any evidence of that? any source? i've heard many different versions running from we saved a lot of money through to what you are claiming just asking as i would like to know
  2. no it's the latest imf global report. just getting to the section on population control
  3. come on guys. only 5 more pages and 2 1/2 hours to go
  4. don't think so as they would go either via trade or as an unllsted-fa
  5. in all fairness hardtack, this comment is just hearsay i haven't see any of his doctors give a public statement on their exact diagnosis psychiatry anyway is a very imprecise science a good friend of mine has/had a very bad experience with "depression" to the point of being physically incapacitated (and is still not out of the woods after 10 years). He must have seen 20 different psychiatrists and psychologists, been on nearly every medication available and he still has had not had one consistent definitive diagnosis. He has had plenty of differing diagnoses though i don't doubt mc has had a debilitating mental condition but you or i shouldn't attempt to define it or its magnitude
  6. i didn't laugh, but i had a little smirk
  7. i'm tipping we will hit a page count of 100 by midnight
  8. too late nut, he's already been blamed for all things past, present and future
  9. that could be true, we are all just guessing on the terms of the agreement i just can't get it out of my head that he has surely breached something in the agreement if whoever drafted the agreement for mfc didn't make some provision for an adverse scenario i'd be surprised (and angry)
  10. my reasoning is that (end of contract timing) was all part of the total agreement which would come into play at delistment time it all revolved around him retiring if he doesn't retire then he is not complying with the agreement therefore all aspects of the agreement would be up in the air hence it could revert to the prior contract term (ie 2015) at least that was my reasoning i also thought the afl brought a rule in covering un-retiring to stop the mal michael situation recurring, but i don't know the details
  11. the "leverage" is he said he would retire and we would delist him well if he is not retiring then we are not obligated to delist him doesn't mean we would get a good trade necessarily, but we would control his options
  12. if we said he would be delisted because he is retiring and then he doesn't retire then we are not obliged to delist him don't need any special clauses for that i wouldn't think that leaves him three options stay be traded to our satisfaction sit out till end of 2015 we need to play hardball on this (if it eventuates) a fourth option is that the afl over-rides us to allow him to be delisted, then they must provide compo
  13. no we won't, he was massively front loaded, plus he was reportedly paid part of 2015 anyway
  14. I don't think Colin's chardonnay swilling revolution can wait for the IMF biffo The weenies are squealing like pigs apparently in good ole willy
  15. patience grasshopper, patience
  16. surely if he signed an arrangement with mfc based on his retirement and he decides not to retire he voids the arrangement whatever it was this means it reverts to the original contract which runs to 2015 this then gives us two options - trade or keep on list if he stays on list he has to fulfil obligations like training, be available for selection etc. if not then no payments keeping him on list also may not be as expensive as you think as he had a massive front loaded contract on a similar note when mal michaels "unretired" himself and switched clubs it was reported the afl changed the rules to prevent/penalise such activities does anyone know what these changes were? one wonders where the afl sits on this. will probably make it up on the run anyway
  17. i hope you have passed (so to speak) this little pearl of wisdom on to d-l who is land's chief cancer researcher
  18. nah, i pace myself these days. bit like you and the gym
  19. met a few prunes down at the tennis club the other night i'd advise biffo to give the prunes a big miss despite the mantle piece and all that stuff
  20. his original contract ended in 2015 i understand the afl tightened up the rules after the mal michael retirement fiasco if he wants to go it will have to be by trade
  21. ninthmond are bringing the game into disrepute
  22. who said the off-season was a mfc supporter's best time
