i've said it before. the only fully professional sports body in the world with part-time umpiring the rules of the game are so complicated and the the game is so fast with no breaks to just entrust it to part timers

you did that refresher course pretty quick, mono

i think you mean joseph goebbels. you need a nazi101 refresher course

The Cam Pedersen Appreciation Thread

#pedolegend -
rubbish. he didn't have the option to mark as he was late to the ball. take his opponent out? what a laugh, he just tried to put a bit of pressure on the marker, a little clumsy maybe but the contact was minimal.......you do exaggerate

side by side?

you'r right about commonsense, sue. however you are misinformed about the rule book. 90% of umpire rulings you won't find in the rule book. the afl are very averse to documenting rules in their little book

we could start with warnie's statue tomorrow at the g. biff but if the haters go for ronnie's statue then deserve all the violence they will get
-
no rule change needed, it's up to the umpire at the end of the day. just needs common sense
-
what's your source on umpires being human?
-
technically yes, but common sense in this case surely dictates the ump should have allowed play-on and the bett's tackle. ... bad decision

well you asked and i delivered. you were wrong and you look silly. you said nothing about free countries (whatever that means). but this was never the real issue. i said with respect to your initial comments that the problem wasn't as black and white as you painted it. i never argued for prohibition as that is just another black and white solution. but i guess a decent intelligent discussion on gambling would require a level of nuance you don't possess

Countries with Alcohol Prohibition Afghanistan Bangladesh Brunei India (only in the states of Gujarat, Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland, and the union territory of Lakshadweep.) Iran Kuwait Libya Saudi Arabia Sudan UAE (only Sharjah) Yemen Pakistan (only for Muslims)

it's not as black and white as that. And there are places in the world where prohibition works quite well.
