  1. but the point specifically for wines was that he was essentially ready and was "low maintenance" re development......same as vineyl wines would have been a star wherever he went
  2. ummmm...... he was developed by draft day......a walk up starter
  3. not from leighoak, that ends this july and i suspect most of our gambling revenue comes from leighoak not bentleigh. but that's only my guess
  4. i hope not jim. i need to see the weid put in at least 2 or 3 solid games in real vfl matches first
  5. the thing about a torp is that any old dummkopf could accidentally kick a torp by actually just mis-kicking a punt kick now a stab kick (daisycutter) was truly an art only mastered by a skilled few
  6. and don't forget stuie spencer for stab kicks and drop kicks many vfl rovers were top exponents of the stab kick
  7. no decent profits in selling smokes, wyl
  8. are you describing capitalism, binman?
  9. some truth in that. i remember decades ago they tried to get sports betting up and it was a real failure. i think the internet, graphics, technology and smart phones have played a big part not only making it more available and immediate but adding a lot of "glamour" to it
  10. is there gaming entitlements at the leighoak venue like there are at the bentleigh club? if so, what % of gaming do we lose this July with the sale of leighoak?
  11. without a doubt, jim. and it's easier to bet as you don't even have to go to a venue. just need a smart phone and we know how ubiquitous they are
  12. that's true dof, but it doesn't mean there will be less gaming machines out there. the same number of lives and families will be wrecked. the licences will just end up owned by someone else all it means is that the mfc won't be playing a part in it nor profiting from it
  13. he can easily kick 50m when he's on the run it's more to do with his awkward set shot 'technique'
  14. and don't forget his contested possession counts are huge
  15. actually there has been quite a few just a few off top of head - Ian Stewart, Royce Hart, Carl Ditterich, Tim watson, Peter Hudson.......
  16. yep, arguing the same stuff again and again is getting really really boring
  17. they don't explain the 3 misconducts. anyone see what they were? Melbourne's Jordan Lewis $1500 for misconduct; Lions Nick Robertson and Dayne Zorko $1500 each for misconduct;
  18. the non stop manic running and pressure for 100 minutes of their flag year raises questions of whether they were on some sort of juice they've been a shadow of themselves since the flag. and it's not just injuries, they had heaps of injuries during their flag year or is it just premiership hangover......hmmm
  19. thanks port - we are now 6th on ladder
  20. you must have a lot of spare time dv8........going back to posts from july last year
