I believe that JW was firstly drafted because he was the "best available" choice (as majority of commentators agreed) Then secondly as a consequence of that then yes the club assumed that he would be a key forward (reasonable assumption for a 17yo 196cm TAC State forward) But the REASON he was drafted was as 'best available'
