  1. Try Toby in the middle, as he hasn’t done a thing and should be fit and fast, if they can give him the ball at stoppage.
  2. Sub is a small when we went small anyway. Weid obviously is not wanted by us.
  3. Yep PPMFCSS, Post Premiership MFCSS.

It is the single best advantage to a team in the AFL. Interstate teams have to travel constantly, but the Cats have this home ground advantage and travel less than most Vic clubs. It is virtually a given 7-8 win walk up start every year. 4-5 more wins at G or Marvel and it is finals every year.

Our big problem is we probably have the worst key forward options in the AFL atm. I just don't see how we fix that, unless JVR comes in and plays well, or we change our game plan, to utilize a small forward line. That would mean kicking to space and along the ground entering the forward 50 and not just bombing it long to 1 on 3.

It’s obvious, Silvagni touched his arm, as he dived after kicking the ball.

They are asking for a priority pick for Liam Jones retiring, when refusing to vaccinate. The arrogance.

Did we play a WA side in any of them?

Blues, Swans and us. Must avoid Freo in Perth as will be hardest to win. We play them there soon and it could decide our fate.
  10. I am an old fart, 70 and agree the generations do see things differently.
  11. Spoken to Gus or Andrew lately?

I can’t recall winning games a game without Clarry for about 6 years.😉
  13. Would you see it as a smart move for a finals club to say at this point of the season, one of their young stars is leaving. I don’t.
  14. And if they do and this is what is being attempted to be done, neither side will want to announce it before their season is finished, so as not to further disrupt it.

Being called an optimist is strange, as I am pessimistic about our game against Port. Port are basically at full strength and in good form, while we are not in great form and missing 60% of our goal to goal line, including our best player.
  16. I have his mobile number!
  17. Maybe this is all a set up by DL, to get more interest and hits!

Can't believe I am saying this but I want Blues to beat Cats. Also obviously we want Swans to be at Dockers. I would be happy to play our first final at the G against Cats, Blues, Lions or Pies as that would give us our best chance of being in the PF at the G.
  19. And we should ask for him. Start at the top. Also and most importantly, would we ask for him if he hasn't indicated he would be willing to come? Remember Gus and Jacko have the same manager and maybe Gus has asked his brother would he be willing to come over and play for the Dees. With Jacko willing to go home, it sets up a scenario where Freo might be hard pressed to say we should let Jacko go home, but they won't do the same. Some interesting times ahead. While ordinarily I would say Andrew is no chance to come to us, the Jacko situation puts a different spin on it, "IF" Andrew is on board with the idea.
  20. Couldn't he still have 3 other grandparents alive?
  21. This is my take on the Jacko situation. Luke would obviously be happy to be home and if he was, he wants to play with the club he barracked for and his family is connected with. It doesn’t hurt that they are now successful. He is happy to return home, if both clubs can do a fair deal. If not, most likely he will stay with us for another 2 years and see where it’s at then. I don’t think he is driving this or demanding to leave, but rather Freo have seen the opportunity to get him. We hold the cards and if no deal can be done to our satisfaction, I am sure Luke will sign on for 2 more years. I am pretty confident Freo have driven this, knowing they have a willing participant, in the right circumstances. I think he is happy to stay for a couple of years at least, but would also be happy to return home and play with Freo and Freo probably know exactly that. He may have simply said "yes if you can get me I will come, if not I stay a Dee." So Mr. Bell, you make us happy or he stays, end of story. PS: Personally, I hope if he does go, players are involved, as picks are speculative and take time to turn into regular players in your best 22, if at all.

Now where have I seen that before?
  23. I support Melksham, but am stunned he has been picked on form, over Chandler, who has been great at Casey. Only thing I can think of is Melksham has been picked because there is a role they see him better at, even while badly out of form. He might kick 5 and shut everyone up, or he might go kickless and DL will light up.

I would rather ensure we play our first final in Melbourne. Win and G for PF and then hopefully!
  25. We know 2 top 5 picks are not possible. Freo will have to deal a very good player, a nice pick and a medium player to get this done. The media were gushing over Jacko last year and saying he is a generational player, so he should be regarded as such in any trade, if Freo want him that bad.
