Looked at Wheelo's stats against my better judgement. Could not find a table indicating 'Acts of Poor Decision-Making'. An analysis of this data would save @binman going to all the trouble of presenting data that demonstrated that we should have won. Ah well. I'll probably listen anyway.
  2. Shae is assistant coach at present. Also works for the club. Forging her own career - nothing to do with Rory.
  3. Looked carefully at wheelo’s ratings and it was not what I saw with my own eyes at the game. I have watched Nibbler turn the ball over for years now. I’m happy for him to jog on to Adelaide. Give me stats on first touch possessions and midfield to forward line connections. Give me stats on Max Gawn’s facial expressions and Fritch’s one arm tackle attempts. Give me stats on who has checked out and who sh**ts their pants under pressure. Talk about ‘Pearlo’s Stats’.
  4. Interesting stats to record from this week’s pod: 1. False assertions based on misguided interpretation of statistics. 2. Interruptions to Andy while he is trying to make a pessimistic argument. 3. Number of times George claims we have no-one at Casey to step up.
  5. I support your opinion on Goody 100%. It’s your simplistic interpretation of stats that troubles me and I enjoy the debate.
  6. No stats file this week, please. If @binman asserts that Nibbler is one of our best in terms of the player ratings or has ‘x’ number of pressure acts, I’m going to be violently sick. If you need to rely on stats you are not watching the game. If you want to talk stats, tell me about fumbles, short steps before the contest and preferring to tackle rather than having a crack at possessing the ball.
  7. Ah. Now you are playing the man, not the ball. This could be seen as a meaningless pressure act.
  8. @binmanAs an old coach once said to me: If you have to rely on stats, then you are not watching the game.
  9. It sometimes appears that Stevie May is not a smart player. He is certainly out of sorts and he looks slow. He is a skilful kick but a poor decision maker. What do the coaches do?

Harry Petty can be excused. Total stagefright. First game. No support from a lazy midfield. What's Oscar's excuse? He was just as poor, he was poor against Port and even worse against Cox. Slow and lazy. Oscar should not be learning his craft in the AFL. He should be learning at Casey.
