Anyone for cricket?
Was anyone else watching Demon Brad Hodge tonight up at the Gabba?? One of the great innings in limited overs I`ve seen. Surely this bloke must get a call-up for either one dayers or 20/20. His form is as good as anyone in the world. Singlehandedly won the match tonight from a very precarious position

True! Boy we have missed Van Persie. He looked pretty good in patches the other night!Having him alone may have seen some results turned! Even Fabregas, despite playing a large chunk of the season has been injured more often than not. Happy with 3rd possie, maybe 2nd!

Saw it! 1 of the goals of the year. Ends the Gunners chances too, if they weren`t already finished before the game. Their injury list resembles the Dees of the past 3 years!

Some interesting results this morning! Must admit, I thought the Gunners season was over, but there is a pulse! Fortunate however, clear handball from Fabregas in the last play of the match from Gerard, looked like it was going in!

Next fortnight will decide our fate! Any idea when Van Persie is due back? Get him fit, keep Cesc on the park and we are a massive chance this year! Agree if we lose Cesc, we`ll struggle. Many of our wins would have been draws, even losses without this bloke this year. How he is not a walk up start in the Spanish side is beyond me!

How good would it be if the Dees had a player who could sit on the bench for 3 quarters, come on for 20 minutes, kick 5 goals, win the game singlehandedly, then go back and sit on the pine for the last 5 minutes to rest up for next week!

I saw a bloke in a Freo guernsey that copped a bit which was excellent. It is pretty cool to see so much footy gear on though. Saw quite a few Dees caps. Boy, how lucky was Watto today! Shoulda been gone on 99! Meanwhile, the Poms are serving it up to SA in Durban. 4 wickets in hand with a lead of 170!

Did you see Fabregas? The bloke is a genius! Just hope he hasn`t stuffed his hammy in the process!

Yeah, I love my cricket but I was bored for large chunks of the match. I think I picked my days wrong because today seemed far more enjoyable with the Paki`s seemingly more interested and plenty of wickets falling. I think if I had headphones on y`day listening to Kerry Okeefe it would have been far more enjoyable! I can understand why people would prefer to watch it live on TV!

I was at the G today, and spent large moments in time envisioning the D`s running around the park playing footy, such was my boredom at watching what the Paki`s dished up today. Their fielding is easily the worst I have seen in a long long time, bordering on careless. Then to watch over 2 hours of cricket on a perfect batting pitch at a run rate of about 1.5 until their skipper had a crack, was as boring as it gets. Thankfully, I was close enough to Bay 13 to be entertained by the Yobbo`s, and the streaker`s effort to run straight across the pitch, evade about 10 security guards and almost make it to the members was the highlight of the day!

Should have been 5-0, they were so dominant. Fabregas`goal is one of the greatest individual goals you`ll ever see. Breathtaking!

Hey Two Sheds, Mate I really don`t know what to write but just felt I had to respond to you. I think it is probably a good thing that you have shared your story even though you were not quite sure why you were doing it. You must be feeling so many different emotions and I think writing and sharing is a small way of releasing some pain, anger and frustration. Stay positive mate, the mind is a truly powerful thing and you can beat this thing if you believe! Your story makes me realise how precious life is and not to take anything for granted. I think many of us take life far too seriously sometimes and what you have just written will be a wake up call for a lot of us Demonlanders. Be strong mate! Thankyou for sharing!

Disgraceful end to a disgraceful season (2008 Edition)
Its been painful to say the least. Not too sure how many times I have walked away from the G this year thinking I have just witnessed the poorest display for the year. It looked like most of them were planning ahead for Mad Monday today! Honestly, I think we can expect more of the same next year, maybe slight improvement if we keep our injuries down. Bring on 2010!
